High School Team Camp at NKU

Featured Replies

I was just wondering if there were any teams in the NKy/Cincinnati area that will be taking part in this team camp.

Last year it had to be cancelled due to a lack of teams that committed. I think there wasa total of like 3-4 teams last year.

I hope that more teams decide to play this year.

What sport??? Volleyball, Soccer??

Sorry for not stating it. Sometimes I have a mental lapse around this time of day.

It's a high school volleyball team camp. If a moderator sees this please fix the thread title for me to say "High School Volleyball Team Camp @ NKU"

THANKS!!!

no problem. Was going to comment if it was soccer, somthing i know a little about. I like to watch volleyball, but do not know much about the local schools, other than it is st henry, notre dame and everyone else.

I've got a really good idea of the teams that will be good next ear but I didn't know if any of the local teams would be going to team camps together and more specifically the team camp at NKU.

I'm really glad to hear that these 2 schools will be there. NCC along with Campbell County will be the favorites in the 10th Region, while Beechwood has had strong teams in the past few years if I'm not mistaken.....it's hard to win the 9th Region when you're going up against the likes of St. Henry and Notre Dame every year.

Does anyone else know of teams that will be there?

I'll most likely be there for every night of play so if yuns wanted to we could meet up and say hello if you come to the team camp.

I am hoping to come and watch every night.

Yes........it is tough to be in the same region with the Catholic dynasties! However, I have faith in our lady Tigers. One day, hopefully soon, we may just sneak up and surprise them! I think we are going to have a good team this year. Lots of Seniors, led by our superstar, Lauren Snyder. Can't wait!

Format has changed from Thur/Fri/Sat to just Thursday and Friday for KHSAA

regulation purposes.

I know that part of the problem with the team camp may be the dates and limits imposed on the HS teams with regard to the number of scrimmages permitted. Teams are only permitted two pre-season scrimmages after July 15th. The team camp was scheduled to play that weekend as well and the games played there would count against the 2 total allowed. I believe NKU is looking to adjust the dates to have all games played prior the the 15th to avoid the conflict. Most of the schools already have their scrimmages set and don't want to have to back out of those commitments.

Exactly the reason for the change! :thumb:

I will only be able to attend the first day of it cause I'm going to see Jeff Dunham at the FunnyBone on Friday but ZX3 will you be there for the matches on Friday? If so could you post results?

I will be watching the matches on Thursday from the Albright Health Center....you can catch 2 matches at once in the format that you stated. And I will posted the scores once I get back to my room. I'm really excited to watch this event especially the Kentucky teams. Should be exciting.
