LINK I'm going to throw it out there. How absurd is it that Fern Creek got the one seed in this thing over Trinity? Both only have 1 loss (to each other) but Trinity has faced and beaten better competition. Trinity was ahead of Fern Creek in the SETH ranking (the ranking system made up by JCPS director of athletics) after the KOB tournament but lost ground because they played in and won a better tournament out of state after that then what Fern Creek played in. Disagree. All the back judge has to do is look up and see if the clock is running or not. Our bordering states us them and they survive. It's better for the players (QBs) on the field if play clocks are visible. Isn't it supposed to be about them?

Coaches are adults. They should be held to a higher standard.

I think basketball officials let way to much go. Coaches should not be on the floor, PERIOD, and yet many coach from there and I've not seen it enforced with any regularity. I've seen refs ask coaches to move back and they may but pretty soon they're back out there again. After that it should be T'ed. I've seen coaches "vent" for several minutes, that's to much. I really believe that because they can be scratched refs are timid about T'ing coaches because they want to work games.

Nope. Beat em twice in actual games. Trinity won a SK championship and went 10-0 in the regular season. They followed that up with a 5-0 post season.

Everytime Trinity's played Simon Kenton it's actually been a scrimmage. Games were over by halftime and all of Trinity's kids got to play.

To bad they were never given a chance to show if they could compete against real competition.

I'm biased obviously but I think Spencer Blackburn was the best QB in the state this year. 15-0 playing against a better schedule then anyone. 2 wins over Lafayette and St. X and a win over Male and MVP in the championship game. He gets hurt because he only started 1 year. Wood is very good but IMVHO he won this (and will win Mr. Football) because he's going to UK.

Not buying. College coaches know talent. The kid from Waggener has racked up numerous offers and missed most of the season this year. The kid from Lafayette still has his Alabama offer even though Trinity's sophomore frustrated him in the championship game. I wouldn't want my team to get overwhelmed in the playoffs because I didn't expose them to real competition during the season.

Trinity's recent record against X (in real games, not scrimmages) disputes that. Enjoy your regular season success, playoff success will elude you again next year.

Good teams find a way to win when they play badly. Congrats to Cooper, they are very well coached and played an outstanding game against Trinity but if Trinity takes control of the game against Cooper the way they did against CovCath that game's not close. Cooper was able to control the tempo, I don't think they do that if they play again.

That's the mission of a Trinity High School football player, who had a stellar season on the field. It was a standout season for #7 Stephen Herron: a state championship for Trinity High School, lead tackler and interest from the some of the country's top programs...and he's only a sophomore. "A lot of big things happened this year, a lot of good things, so I figured I'd add another good thing to the list," Herron said. He decided to end the year on a high note with a final act of kindness. Herron launched "SJ's Kids," a non-profit foundation devoted to helping at-risk youth in Kentuckiana. "We had to buy cleats, pay some bills for some families, and after I saw what they went though, I just decided I wanted to help kids all across the community -- just really help them and help their Christmas out, since they don't get a lot of stuff," Herron said. The 16-year-old decided to start small with a youth shelter drive. LINK
