I can remember last year when everyone were saying that Mason County would win easily over Bourbon and had it not been for missed free throws by Bourbon at the end of the game, Mason would not have advanced! With nothing to lose, the Lady Colonels could pull off a shocker if Campbell over looks them!

Paris vs. Bourbon County back in 1991. The game started at 7:30 and the Fire Marshall had to close the doors at 6:30. This happened at the old Southside Gym, the former home of the Paris Greyhounds. It was the Alvin Sims vs. Corey Williams show. It turned out to be a dunkfest!

Chariss Wilson of Bourbon County is a top 10 player ... with no doubts! IMO, she's the best true post player in the region. She deserves to be there.

Wells led Paris with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Marcus Ashford had 4 points, 7 offensive rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Jordan Davis 13 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Titus Ransom led Bourbon with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Ameryon Blackburn had 13. Kamron Stout scored 7 points and 11 rebounds.

In a battle with their cross-town rival, Greyhounds finish 6-0 on the district ... will wait for the drawing Sunday to see who they will play in the upcoming 40th District Tournament!

Bracken hasn't submitted stats all year on their players and they did not submit any names for All Region ... oversight maybe, but the one to blame is the Coach and his support staff. It doesn't take long to send in any of this information!

Because the KHSAA site does not list steals, assists or block shots .... that's y it's up to the coach or someone who cares to send in the info!

How can they not be? They've knocked off what I believe are four of the top five teams in the region in Mason, Clark, Campbell and Nicholas. They may not have the best record, but right now, in my opinion, they have the best team! Stay tuned, this region could be a fight to the finish!

Paris won the first match up this season in Mt. Sterling 53-49 ..... just saying! Haters gonna hate!

The All "A" Champions Greyhounds ran out to a 25-0 lead and cruised home from there for the district win. Paris finished with 24 steals!

Best thing to do, is to go to the Coach and tell him to send in his stats just like the other coaches do! It's not like it's top secret or anything ... just trying to give the girls in the region some coverage.
