Paris too athletic for some teams...Elliott schedule was soft...could tell they haven't faced a team that wouldn't allow them to shoot wide open...Paris will be outsized from here out...but you still have to lace them up.

Some bright points but definitely not Elliott's best game. By far worst I have seen this season! Hats off to Paris because they are a very good basketball team. I wish them nothing but the best and will make a post season run for sure. Go Lions!!!

Paris made Elliot look bad. Mountain teams have to get out of the mountains and face some tougher competition. No offense. But that record was fools gold. Elliot could be a good team but it's tough on kids to play that type of competition and then face off against athletic teams.

Elliott loses by 9, shoots 8-21 from the foul line. And many of those free throw misses were front bonus. This would have been a much closer game if they could have connected better from the line.

 

The Elliott fans that I was sitting around said that the team is normally a great free throw shooting team. I suppose in a fast pace game like this one the legs get tired and the Paris defense made it tough on them all game.

They have always said that about all mountain sports. Football hasn't done too bad recently. I agree to a sense but mountain sports aren't lacking in any sport IMO. Greenup just played for the baseball state championship and Shelby valley won a state basketball championship pretty recently. Sorry, I get tired of that mentality. Most of your statistical state leaders in basketball are from the 15-16th region. Timmy Daulton of Lawrence County is one of the top scorers in the country. Just saying

Great game plan by coach Brooks use your athletes to wear down a 6 man rotation...don't get it twisted game was never competitive...Paris missed 8 free throws as well...if they played 10 times Elliot may win 2...no offense to the Lions...they were jus out manned.

And of course a mountain kid can score a Bunch. I'm not saying Elliot isn't good. Im saying it's tough to play almost all mountain teams and then come and play a team as athletic as Paris.
