Yeah I'm pretty sure Christmas came early for the Freshman Bluebirds this year with Campbell "upsetting" Dixie to put Highlands in the Championship. Best of luck to ya when that game comes around! Only wish we (Campbell) could play ya again!

Campbell County won this game in OT. Dixie scored the only touchdown in the 1st half and then was the first to score in the 2nd half putting up 12 to the camels 0. Campbell scored and had an extra point blocked to make it 12-6 Dixie. Campbell scored another TD on a 2nd deep pass to Griffin giving him his 2nd TD and the camels a 12-12 tie. Dixie drove the ball but was picked off at the 15 only to have Campbell put up a drive of their own that ended in a fumble taking us to OT. In OT the camels scored and got the 2 pt. conversion on passes to Griffin. Dixie matched with a TD of their own but couldn't convert on the 2 pt. try, giving Campbell the #2 spot in their division. Highlands #1, Campbell #2, and Dixie #3. This was one of the best football games I've seen in a long long time.

The 70 yd pass was from Skinner to Lemons. A maybe 10-20 yd pass and then outran the defenders. The last drive after the onside was mostly James Popp running with QB Skinner going in for the touchdown (maybe a 3-5 yd run). There were two onside attemps in the game so not sure which picture you have posted. Just after halftime the Camels tried an onside and Cov Cath recovered on the 50.

Campbell came back from 21-8 after 3Q to win 24-21. Great game. Campbell scored on a 70 yard pass play with about 5 min in the game and then executed a successful on-side kick. Ran the ball down the field and scored with 1:16 left.

Today, Weds. 10/8

Due to the weather, the game time for today has been changed (according to Campbell web site) from 5:30 to 5:00 PM at Cov Cath. With no lights they decided to start earlier.

The Camel Freshmen continue to roll. Big game at Highlands next week.
