They don't appear to have enough offensive weapons, when the opponent has a good defensive game plan(key on Foley every down) and the kids follow the game plan, the Hounds struggle. They have some pretty good receivers, just can't get it to them consistently. Defensively, they gamble a lot, which leads to a lot of big plays due to a lack of defensive playmakers as well.

Henry County gave Corbin all they wanted tonight, getting within a TD on a pick 6 midway thru the 4th qtr. Henry County then drove down inside the Corbin 20 with under 2 minutes to go before turning it over on downs.

Surely they wouldn't blow the kid's redshirt at this point of the season.

Giving the ball to Patrick a little more often might help the running game for Williamsburg.....

Smith showed poise in the pocket and had good touch on his throws. Williams is UK's best back at this time, not sure why the coaches have not seen it, who else is over on the sidelines that might help, UK desperately needs a pass rusher and maybe a DB or two.

Foley actually had 365 yards rushing according to the Harlan Daily Enterprise. Both sides of the line played well for the Hounds, which is what was expected this year with most of them being returning starters.

Corbin picks up the win at Harlan as Brady Foley rushes for 347 yards for the Redhounds, unofficially per the radio announcers.

Corbin goes 70 yards on 3 running plays to up their lead to 28-14 with around 2 minutes left. Brady Foley has over 300 yards rushing for the Redhounds.

Corbin goes for it 4th and 3 around midfield and Harlan stops them. :confused: Harlan then scores on a 4th and very long and converts the 2 point conversion to make it 21-14.

Corbin still up 21- 6 with 6 minutes to go in the game and driving.

Corbin is ahead 21-6 midway thru the 3rd quarter.

Spurrier is a selfish, arrogant jerk who only cared about Garcia when it benefited Spurrier. Shaw will not look nearly as good when he faces better competition.

I still believe that Jewell could take losing to Bell Co., heck Bell has been the strongest program in this part of the state for many years, he just could not stand losing to Hilton. It became personal, not saying Jewell was right in not playing Bell because the fans and players wanted to continue.

Daddy Cat knows that the loss of 2-3 players(i.e. Lynn Camp) or the addition of 2-3 players(i.e. Williamsburg)can greatly affect the success of a Class A team.

The district winning streak means virtually nothing to the Corbin fans, having the opportunity to play Bell Co. again is the important thing. Corbin may be a year away from going toe-to-toe with the Bobcats for 4 quarters, but the Hounds will play hard and leave it all on the field Friday night. Corbin's passing game will have to be on Friday, which may be asking alot considering the opponent and the inconsistency Corbin has shown in that area. If there is not a good balance in the offense, it could be a long night for the Hounds.

The junior and senior classes, as well as the redshirt sophomores were signed when Joker was in charge of recruiting. UK will struggle unless they can get several SEC type athletes from the state each year, because they are mainly getting leftovers from the other SEC teams in their home states. If you look at the recruiting rankings every year, there are 8-9 from the SEC in the top 20 every year.

Harlan County is the favorite, but this Whitley Co. team has a lot of heart and will make a game of this one. I would like to see the Colonels pull off the upset, just think that the Black Bears are on a mission this year. Harlan Co. 35 Whitley Co. 28

Corbin always plays on Thursday before fall break starts the following week.

UK has only played 2 SEC defenses and the other 3 teams were all weak. I had high hopes for Newton coming into the season, but until he develops some pocket presence, he will not be a good QB.
