  1. How about the fastbreak IU had earlier when they did not take the ball out of bounds.
  2. http://saxo.highschoolsports.net/article/20111130/SPORTS0101/111300335/-Throwback-Taylor-Evangel-s-do-all-guy?Avis=D9 A good read on Trey Taylor from the Shreveport Times.
  3. Maybe they were up all night playing video games the night before that game.......
  4. Another factor besides the previous ones mentioned, is the fact that they have a good combination of academics and athletics, which entices students into their school system.
  5. Western was tied with LSU once(7-7) during that game, but never led. LSU was ahead 14-7 at the half.
  6. Alabama was 7-5 the year Louisville beat them in the Bowl game.
  7. Smith's play at QB was a big improvement over Newton's, your statement that the QB play was worse kind of invalidates your entire theory. The big difference between UK's play and UL's play from their game is the level of competition each has played, which has helped the confidence level of one and hurt the others, that is until the last two games. UK's defense has improved vastly since early in the year, which has been proven in their last two performances.
  8. Trent & Trey Taylor, who are the sons of former Redhound great Greg Taylor moved to Shreveport La. a few years ago due to their dad's job. They have helped lead Evangel Christian to 2 state titles and are in the hunt for a third.
  9. The Vols did throttle Cincinnati this year, who may end up in a BCS game, that should be enough to settle down the UT fans....
  10. Whitley Co. fans complained loudly about Somerset players trying to intentionally injure players during their game. Somerset has traditionally had too classy of a program to allow these type of things to occur, something the coaching staff needs to clean up.
  11. http://saxo.highschoolsports.net/article/20111126/SPORTS0101/111260360/Evangel-rolls-semifinals?shreveport&Avis=D9 Trent Taylor accounted for 6 TD's while brother Trey caught 6 passes for 149 yards. I imagine Coach Jewell wishes these 2 didn't move away from Corbin......
  12. What do you base this statement on? I watched a little bit of today's game and some of the blown defensive assignments wouls not happen in a good high school game. As bad as UK is, they would be contending in the Big East this year.
  13. Good luck to the Yellow Jackets. It won't be an easy task, but they can play with Hazard and pull off the upset if they are on their A game.
  14. A little early for that declaration...
  15. Corbin held Wales in check until the 3rd and 4th quarters. I recall him breaking an 83 yard run in the 3rd qtr to put Central up I believe 48-7 and then catching an 80 yard pass in the 4th quarter to up the lead to 55-7.
  16. Central scored on a 72 yd pass with a minute to go in the first half to go up 21-7, this after Corbin accepted a penalty instead of forcing Central to punt on what would have been 4th and 11. Corbin has not handled adversity well at all this year and the game was pretty much over at this point. Corbin then lost a fumble on their first possession that Central scored on, then on the kickoff, Central kicked medium deep and no one on Corbin went for the ball, Central scores. Corbin throws an INT at their own 15, Central scores........
  17. Two turnovers for Corbin first 2 2nd half possessions are converted to TD's. Central 34 - Corbin 7
  18. Corbin stops Central on 3rd down, but takes the penalty giving Central 3rd and 25 and they hit a 72 yd TD pass with a minute to go in the half.:idunno:
  19. Corbin has a mix up on a handoff and Central takes the fumble about 40 yards for the score. Central ahead 14-7
  20. Wales scores on a 8 yard run for Central after the drive was kept alive on a 15 yd penalty on the Hounds. 7-7 with 6 minutes to go in the half.
  21. Corbin 7 Central 0 - end of 1st quarter
  22. Corbin 7 Central 0 with 7 minutes to go in 1st qtr.
