  1. Vargas and Davis. Gilchrist has to realize how they are calling the game and stop driving it into 2-3 defenders.
  2. UL may have won if Siva would have dished it back outside to Kuric instead of throwing up wild shots.
  3. He's hoping the refs will get tired of blowing the whistle. UL needs to play better defense with their feet instead of using their hands.
  4. He has to be stronger with ball....like Kidd-Gilchrest
  5. How was that a foul. Smith just threw himself at the UK players.....
  6. . Pitino wants this type of game. UL is determined to force the refs to make a call instead of giving up uncontested shots.
  7. Tony Greene thinks the game is about him.
  8. The two teams seem to be real close talent wise, the direction each team's season goes will be determined by a couple of factors. 1. Their schedules 2. How much Smith & Bridge Water progress before next season.
  9. Boise St. got the shaft, they should have been in a much better bowl game and are more derserving of a BCS game than a few who did receive a bid. They may take a big drop next year without Moore, but will still be competitive in the Big East.
  10. So does that mean that he really is the coach in waiting?
  11. That was a poor call, don't think it changed the outcome, just the final score changed by 3 points. There were several bad calls in the 4th qtr, including two pretty obvious drops by UL that were ruled catches. I'm not sure that was pass interference in the endzone either on NC St., looked as though the WR tripped on the DB's foot.
  12. There were some unusual decisions made from the UL sideline, not sure what they were thinking not using their timeouts and allowing around 2 minutes to evaporate. I agree with the announcers as well about the last onside kick, with NC State's punter injured, they probably would have gotten the ball back inside the 50.
  13. Are these all-state teams suppose to be based on how they performed in high school or on their college potential? That being said, I'm sure that some of the coaches who vote tend to shy away from voting for too many on one particular team.
  14. Good point, I believe you made a pretty strong case. You are obviously much more knowledgable on the Big East than I am, I just saw a couple of big east games this year that and is not really enough to judge the entire conference on.:idunno:
  15. If you compare say the #1 team from the Big East with the #1 team from the SEC, right on down the line, do you really think that those records would be the same? UL was the cochampion of the Big East this year and who are they playing in a Bowl game, a very average 7-5 NC St team, who lost to a Wake Forest team that was blown out at home by Vandy.
  16. The Big 10 and the ACC are much stronger conferences than the Big East, not really even close in my opinion.
  17. Good win for the Cards. :thumb: I wouldn't count them out in the 13th Region this year, they will probably have a lot of ups and downs, but will be a hard out in March.
  18. If they go undefeated when they are in Big East and there are not 2 other undefeated teams, then they automatically qualify for the title game? I think that a 1 loss team from one of the power conferences would deserve the title shot over the teams that now comprise the Big East.
  19. Corbin beats South Laurel on the road for their 8th straight victory over the Cardinals.
  20. I had no problem with the bench coaching in this game, actually though Cal did a very good job in keeping UK in it. I guess haters will hate though......
  21. The Big East is likely to lose their BCS status, so how is he going to get these multiple BCS wins?
  22. He went back in for one IU posession and allowed his man to shoot a layup to get the lead back, then was immediately pulled again. UK played much better when he was on the bench.
  23. IU tried to foul a couple of times before Davis got the ball.
  24. UK showed a lot of grit, well most of the team anyway, in the second half in a very tough environment. Like many have mentioned, lack of execution defensively and at the foul line cost them the game.
  25. The contact they are allowing under the basket leads to what we saw earlier in the UC-X game.....looks like hand to hand combat at times.
