Eddie is consistent, aggressive, and extremely confident. Terry Brown is consistent, aggressive, and extremely confident. Warner is consistent, aggressive, and extremely confident. That whole staff is that way. This was a group that was well put together with Tony B. bringing Eddie in and Eddie bringing in guys that shared his ideals for success. Add this type of talent, and you get a fun season for Colonel fans. As an old teammate, I'm glad to see Eddie, Terry and any other of the NewCath grads having so much success. As for Highlands, I hope for all of the kids that I watched grow up, that they are the group that rights the ship. They are good kids and hard working kids. Hopefully it all comes together for them.

As long as Eddie and this staff are together, they are going to have this ball rolling downhill. Future teams won't match this one, but they will be talented and a true state title threat. Players are going to want to come to play for these guys just like players did for Yeagle and Mueller. Not comparing this to those dynasties at all, just saying they have the ability to get kids to come in from every where and the coaches with personal high level development.

Purely speaking football, nothing would make me happier than NewCath bringing another title to the Hill. They have playmakers that nobody talks about or cares to know about. My concern is in the depth on the lines.

Danville barely beat Somerset. LCA, we will wait and see. Really, it is a 2 horse race.

This was an absolute beat down. I've been away from NewCath for awhile now, but I have never seen any of their teams so comfortable with yelling at each other on the field. That isn't how they generally do things. As for Highlands, they really pushed the pace. NewCath was gassed by about the 15th minute of the second half. Highlands matched their physicality as well, which was great to see.

You will only get an accurate assessment of their defensive line v your offensive line. I am guessing that the past 3 weeks have been spent working on blocking schemes that are more conducive to Wight playing QB like more bootleg and rolling pocket. I am not sure that that continues when Carr takes over as most of the passing game goes back to being open. That changes EVERYTHING for your DLines preparation and it may not play to CAL's strength. I don't know. It just won't be the same, I would think.

Depends. If you take averages then Highlands and NewCath make the 36th the toughest, if you require more than two teams and are asking toughness through depth... Ryle, Conner, Cooper, and Boone I guess.

That was one of my boys. He got a yellow for blocking what he thought was a quick free kick...then didn't let it go. He was off any way for that, but he sat for the rest of the game and rightfully so. I was happy that Coach Dean taught him a lesson. I don't feel like on the field there were issues beyond the bad penalty that Highlands got and converted. That was a huge call though and changed the game. The rest of the calls were a result of a ref that was very strict. Ryle plays a very physical style and had there been a looser ref the game may have gone differently for sure. You run that risk when you make that your style. The younger Paul, IMO, was the best player on the field. His foot skills are very impressive.

I said that I didn't hear it live. My son did as it was directed directly at him. I have watched them play 100s of games over their lives and my boys have never said that a fan said anything like that. Tell me, why would they say that now?
