^^I think so. Pikeville will be a very tough out for anyone with the playoff games all at home through the semis, especially since Beechwood lost their great tailback...they have the talent if they can keep their emotions under control and maybe catch a break or two...

Something is telling me that Paintsville is going to win this time. Paintsville has some guys back that have been injured.

Pikeville doesn't have anyone with "blazing" speed, but they probably have more team speed than they have had in quite awhile. There's 3 guys in my avatar that you are not going to catch if they get a step on you. Pikeville's defense is very quick and fast also. Look at the defensive leaders (yds. allowed especially) on the KHSAA site, add about 45 yards passing and 40 yards rushing fror the Paintsville game last week, and you will see how well their defense has been playing...Also they are giving up 13 pts a game while playing the toughest schedule a mountain Class A team could possiibly play. Take away at least 4 special teams TDs and a few the subs have given up, and the defensive unit has been outstanding.

He is around 4.6 or 4.7.

I am beginning to think JC is a bit like that Rockcastle team.

The big problem with the Litratings is that it really penalizes good teams that have to play bad teams. If Male (141) had to play Allen Central (7), and took their starters out after the 1st quarter and won 60-0 with a running clock, their rating would still take a big hit...

I bet you hope for a better result for Somerset if they make it to Pikeville, than the drubbing they took 2 years ago, the last time they made the trip to Pikeville.

I think SC will come to play and prove the first game between these two was a fluke... SC 35, P-burg 14 A lot on the line here, the winner gets to lose to Belfry.

I miss the C-K Wonders from WV...always a great team and fans, and what a great name...

2005 - Pikeville 29, Harlan 0 2004 - Pikeville 28, Harlan 14 2002 - Pikeville 40, Harlan 12 1999 - Pikeville 33, Harlan 12 1998 - Pikeville 46, Harlan 14 Pikeville is much better than last year's team that beat Harlan 29-0...

Harlan has no chance vs. Somerset or Pikeville.

Hancock wouldn't have won Region 4 that year... Pikeville lost to Beechwood on a couple of hail marys where they lost a 19-10 lead in the last 5 minutes in a miracle finish at Beechwood, then Beechwood beat Hancock by like a drum the finals in a game that wasn't even that close... Pikeville would have done the same thing to Hancock, or worse. That one still hurts because not one miracle but two at Beechwood cost Pikeville another state championship. What makes it even worse is Pikeville didn't have a head coach that year, he quit and/or was let go in the middle of the season.

LOL. No way. I don't know of any year one of those teams would have won Region 4. MAYBE the year Crittenden won the title in a close one over Paintsville...but that's it...

Paintsville did not make a first down after halftime. Hope to see them again in the second round.

Jenkins is another team that ended a long drought. They are in for the first time in 12 years I believe. Congrats to Jenkins.

^^^Even so, in the time it takes to get a bad snap and find a receiver, a lineman is beyond the line of scrimmage 99% of the time even after blocking his man...I guess this was one of those 1%...
