That was 1988. Pineville actually got a score called back which could have tied the game late, or Pineville actually could have gone for 2 and the lead. One of those breaks I was talking about earlier.:thumb:

Pikeville played Pineville in '88 and '89...don't remember if they played in '87 or not...do remember going with a couple thousand Pikeville fans over to Cumberland, great times...

The only adversity they faced that I can remember only made therm hungry. That PCB game where Beechwood jumped out by 21 I think, Pikeville took over and made it 21-20 at the half. Then lightning ended the game and Beechwood would not stay and finish the game the next day. That made that PIkeville team very hungry for another chance to play Beechwood, which they got lol...

Yeah...the good break was everyone on that team stayed injury-free all year. That doesn't happen very often. This Pikeville team has two guys who played on both sides of the ball out for the year, and a bunch of minor injuries...
