  1. I would love to see Central win this one because as a Belfry fan, if we are lucky enough to win this week, I love the idea of lining up against the Yellow Jackets in the championship. I feel like South Warren will be too much for Central this time around, however, and will take a win by a TD or 2.
  2. I feel you, but we should note that this isn't Cantrall's Ratings.
  3. That sucks. I've been there and done that and it takes a toll.
  4. Nasal Pillows? What is that. A friend of mine says he go the mask that only covers his nose. How many different kinds of masks are there.
  5. Guilty. But I'm OK with that. :lol2:
  6. 75 nailed it. They want me to come back for another night where they will monitor me with the machine hooked up. They will gradually adjust the pressure to find my "sweet spot" for lack of a better word.
  7. Selfishly, I love the indoor club level access at WKU because we go watch the entire event and it allows us a place to get in out of the weather. Some of my crew is elderly and they never even go outside, just park it on a stool by the window and enjoy the show. There are a lot of fans who go for all 3 games each day, which puts you at the stadium from 10am or so until 9:30-10pm. That is a long long day if it is bad weather, especially if you don't have a place to go warm up. Does the EKU renovation plans have a similar area? Papa Johns had the same thing and that was nice.
  8. I love it. It is a long drive for me, but the venue makes up for it.
  9. Mine too. I failed my sleep test and have to go back in a few days for the 2nd one.
  10. All public schools are tax exempt too, just like churches. So what is the point you are trying to make?
  11. If any Belfry fans want to get a look at Russell, their game with Bourbon County is available on youtube. Seems odd to see Russell not running the Wing-T.
  12. Pretty sure facemask was the call. If you watch when the defender makes initial contact his right arm goes across the receiver's body and in the next couple of frames his face takes a sharp downturn. Later the defender's right hand is on the ground and nowhere near the facemask. This isn't the best angle
  13. Yep and it is a bit of an unusual alignment considering all the prior alignments. Belfry has never been in Region 3, having always been D8 in prior alignments. The eastern half of 3A ... District 5 – Bath County, Fleming County, Lewis County, Pendleton County, Russell, West Carter District 6 – Belfry, Lawrence County, Pike County Central, Sheldon Clark District 7 – Breathitt County, Estill County, Knott County Central, Magoffin County, Morgan County, Powell County District 8 – Bell County, Casey County, Corbin, Jackson County, McCreary Central
  14. Exactly, Belfry will be in Region 3 and Corbin and Bell in Region 4.
  15. I'm not saying it means anything, definitely not saying anyone is hiding anything. I just know that the missing segment was the best view of the tackle and it confirmed the call on the field was the correct one. It was nice to be able to see that angle and now it isn't there. That is it, nothing more.
  16. Thanks for the info BigBlue18. :thumb: If that was a Central camera, I wonder why they removed that look. It was a very good view.
  17. There is an angle that is missing, and it was there when the video was originally posted. There was once 4 different angles, now there is 3. There was one angle, filmed from behind the offense with a pretty good zoom. It really showed the tackle out of bounds very well, and now that entire angle is missing from the video.
  18. My memory isn't what it once was, but there were several discussions about it on here that said otherwise and that was what fueled the fire so to speak. I don't remember anyone ever disputing that fact at the time. :idunno:
  19. If it had been like that, then what was the uproar on here about back at the time? According to this article, the BOE's of both districts voted in spring/summer of 2006 to merge, but that was well before the new school was built. This article was written in July, 2006 and stated that Harrodsburg High and Mercer County High students would continue to attend in separate locations until a merged campus would be completed, expected in 2008. Now, they may have scrapped that idea in favor of what you posted, but that isn't how it was reported on here IIRC, and definitely how this article portrays it. ------------------------------------------------------- Harrodsburg and Mercer school systems merge officially - Central Kentucky News Even though they'll compete on the field together, Harrodsburg High and Mercer County High will continue to operate on separate campuses for grades 9 through 12 once school resumes Aug. 2 until a new, merged campus opens in 2008. The combination of the two districts means more academic offerings for students, including more fine arts and technical programs, as well as advanced placement and honors courses in math, science and foreign languages, said Mercer County Superintendent Bruce Johnson, who will head the new district. The new school district is planning a 78-acre, $25 million high school for grades 10-12, which is expected to open in 2008. The current Mercer High facility would then become a center for seventh-, eighth- and ninth-graders.
  20. PP, as far as the 2nd part of your question, in the fall of 2006 wasn't it discussed ad nauseum on here that Mercer County HS was officially created before the building was months away from being ready for occupancy? And so the students continued to attend their respective schools, yet played sports as MCHS consolidated?
  21. In 2006, Russell went on the road and defeated Belfry in the semifinals at Belfry, and then went on to face that Mercer County team in the finals, where they lost in a close battle 15-12. Ironically, Russell again faces Belfry on the road in the semifinals for a chance to move on to Bowling Green where they very well may end up facing this South Warren team for the championship.
