Congrats to the Ludlow players and staff on a great season. Best of luck to the senior boys who leave the Ludlow program after great careers. Coach Highfield will have this program back in the regional tournament in the future.

I don't remember blaming anyone on the loss. I said he had careless turnovers in the end that cost them. However, Scott missed free throws, lay ups, and open jumpers. There were also times they were effortless on defense. So I dispute your comment to me. :argue: :fight: :madman:

Both teams played as hard as could be asked! In the end, Scott's point guard had careless turnovers that ended up costing them. Both programs have class coaches and kids. I was glad to see everyone shake hands afterward, and show their respect for one another. I was a little disappointed sitting in the Scott section listening to some of the people bad mouthing the coaching staff though. Good luck to both in the regional tournament.

Great game by both teams. Scott's PG did not take care of the basketball in the end. I think he had several turnovers that turned out to be costly. He hit a couple three's, had some rebounds, but was careless in the end. Scott's big man battles hard, but they had trouble getting him the ball in a scoring position. Best of luck to both teams in the regional tournament.

Brad Carr - Scott. Also, my second choice would be Tony Bacigalupo (sp?) from Silver Grove. What a job he did this season. Buddy Bigg's had a lot to work with, even though he lost some starters. Mike Code has also done a great job after losing all the seniors from last year. Brad Carr has his boys in the district final, going to the region, and looking forward to the future. I will be there Friday to see their game against my rival Mustangs.

Is this the second Kyle Howard to reach 1000 points this season? I thought I read where Scott High School's Kyle Howard reached 1000 points in a game against Highlands. Ironic.

I believe he is thinking of Scott County, not Scott High School.

I've seen Scott twice, Campbell twice...Scott by 5. I like Scott's game more than I like Campbell County's. Also, I think Scott is better coached. Not a shot at anyone, but their coach seems to be a good coach. Should be an exciting matchup.

To beat Holmes and Brossart without him shows that the team has not suffered. I may be wrong, but could this have been a blessing in disguise? You never know who will step up to play when the coach calls your number. Kids are uncoachable these days because they spend to much time listening to their parents/friends, instead of listening to their coaches.

I think the 9th region freshman tournament is the premier freshman tournament in the state. Everything is run as if it were a varsity tournament. HHS would be horrible to host. Let them fix their floor first.

Arkansas Brewer did play. Not to impressed with what I saw last night. Good, no doubt, but great...no way.

Good win for Mason. Does anyone else agree that teams who come back from the All A State, have a hard time pulling out wins? It seems that teams go into the All A with tons of steam, and come out flat after. I'm not saying this happened to BBHS, but seems to be a trend these last few seasons.

Coach Highfield has done a great job keeping his kids looking forward and not on the past. Great turn around for the Panthers. Many wrote them off back in December, but now...blue skies ahead. Now, February is upon us and Ludlow is back in the hunt for the D-3 crown...even if it is a tie.

Cov Cath's freshman are usually pretty talented. I hear they are down from year's past though. What are their weaknesses? You wonder if talent is the only thing that is making them "down".
