  1. How are the field conditions at Bethlehem?
  2. Congrats to Dayton. Lovin' the call for two in OT.
  3. Let's not take anything away from these boys. Congrats to HC frosh. Great season, I saw them play several times.
  4. I love it! I wish all stories here could be like this one.
  5. As I read through this thread, it looks like everyone has given The Cross credit. No one has said they won on a fluke, or got lucky. It was a great win for the HC program, but there's still lots of football to play. Personally, I think NewCath will rebound, and HC will continue to improve as well. I would like to see them face off in the play-offs, only to see which team has built on this game. As far as Koz being a great coach, he won tonight and has proven to NKY that they can win at The Cross. His schedule has beefed up (Holmes, SK), the numbers are good on the sidelines, and they are winning. Hopefully they can continue to do well this season, as the next couple could be rough. Good luck to both, and congrats to HC.
  6. I have seen both play, and I do not think Newport Catholic is four touchdown's better. However, they will beat Beechwood.
  7. I was told beechwood won, but not sure on the score. Something like: Beechwood 14 New Richmond (OH) 6
  8. Great game by both teams. Congrats to Lloyd for the win and the goal line stand in O.T. Lloyd has a great freshman coaching staff that has obviously drawn some talent. Hopefully they do not go for greener grass at the end of the season. Stay coaching freshman and continue to build a solid foundation for that program. Sam Beiting coached his first game as Newcath Frosh coach. Did a great job and will continue to do fine. Play calling could have been better, but hey, I could not have done better. Good luck to all.
  9. Although sad, it was very quick and funny. Got a smile from this guy. Good luck in recovering Mr. Benke. I too will pick Hesch. I just wish he had receivers like he did last season.
  10. Holy Cross looked very good yesterday. They continally pressured Newport's QB, and put some good licks on him, even though they weren't supposed to. Coach Schlarman didn't look to happy about it, and neither would I. Newport also looked good, but the passing game was non existant. They spread it out alot and tried to go downfield, but Holy Cross coverage plus pressure equalled few pass completions. I look to see great things from both teams. Good luck to both.
  11. No way does the Lother kid play any varsity this year. Highlands is not Bellevue or Dayton. However, I 100% agree with your opinion of him in your first post. The kid can flat out play. Coach Willie is to smart to move a small frosh to varsity. He would get some calls, but needs some experience first.
  12. Awesome game played by both teams. Hope the wins keep coming for the baseball Breds.
  13. Amen. Coach Bigg's was AP Coach of the Year. One of the best coaches in the state, bar none.
  14. There are going to be two press boxes? If so, that will be a roomy place to film games, etc.
  15. About darn time. Congrats to Randy, he will do a fine job as Head Coach. Very happy for him.
  16. Chuck Faust to Bracken County is great news for the Polar Bears. Did their coaches resign? Tough place to build a program, but they have been building the foundation. Good luck to all Bracken County coaches, players and fans!
  17. And the home football game gate totals cushion their general fund to help other sports like baseball, softball, etc. that aren't money makers. Does Highlands pay to use the park field? I think the only time I paid there was during a district game, but then again I can't say that was 100% correct.
  18. Stole my thunder. I like Coach Reitz, but the Campbell program is not where is should be with the kids who have just gone through. However, they had a great JV season and a great freshman season this year, so we shall see what he can do with them.
  19. Not to step on toes, but I don't think Mr. Lutz is ready to become a Varsity Head Coach yet. Good guy, just my opinion. Could be a great job for someone who could control his program and kids. There are some athletic kids at Lloyd, but getting them to come out will be the task.
