Malachi Payne guarded Sears really tough in this one. Sears didn’t respond well to the physical play. Also, it seems like they have a cohesion problem. Jarvis has poor shot selection at times and plays defense every now and then. The whole team could play much better defense with how athletic they are. Help side is terrible and I don't see the coach hold them accountable much.

Mont Co doesn’t appear to place much emphasis on defense.

This will be a fun one in Winchester tonight. I think GRC will have too many weapons. Some other Jaguars need to show up for them to get a win.

The other HP team has like 5 D1 players on it and plays the best prep/private schools all over the country. This is their lower level squad.

I watched Jake Feldhaus shoot 27 FT’s by himself against GRC. He plays like a bull then falls and flops on the shot and refs usually call it.

Surprised Asher only took 5 shots. They play better when he is a part of the offense.

I was lead to believe Moco was the best team in the state now that Sears is eligible. After a loss mind you. How could they possibly drop two in a row now that Sears is playing?

The lefty for GRC is Sophomore Ryder Akins. I was told he had 22 or 24 tonight.

I thought GRC’s sophomore Ryder Akins looked really good in this game. He guarded Tyce Jarvis and did a great job. Blocked him 3 times and Terry once. I think he had 22 pts and a nice dunk in the first half. He is a strong looking guard.

I will take GRC. I saw Sears play once in person and he had an off game. I hear he is good. There will be a lot of talent on the floor Friday.

GRC plays great defense! They will be a tough out come march if they guard like that.

The Soph Akins for GRC had 26 points. Nice looking young player. I thought Ashland also had nice young talent on the floor.

ND’s Abdou Toure, signed with Arkansas, had 31 points. GRC Soph Ryder Akins had 20. He is a strong physical guard for his age. Montez Gay added 19. Cardinals will be a tough out come March.

Kon Knueppel’s team from Wisconsin is in the BBC. He still has three brothers playing on that team. UK has also offered a kid in this tourney but his name has slipped my mind.

Should be a tough test for GRC. Father Judge is in a tough catholic league in philadelphia. They have one kid who has already signed with Temple Owls and another one signed with Iona.

Ballard is very young and having trouble competing with older teams. If Cole Edelen gets eligible it will make them an instant contender. Not sure what went down with Boogie Cook. You never know who is advising kids on these decisions.

I’m not saying he isn’t good. He is. He gets away with bull in a china shop type play now. He shows true grit and I admire how hard he goes but he does have a floppy way that he plays. Not sure how that translates at Belmont.

If you breathe on Jake Feldhaus he will slam himself to the ground and get the call every time.

Total homer job down there at central. Felhaus shot 27 FT’s by himself. GRC shot 17 as a team. Bartleson, the 6’7” GRC Center, couldn’t get near Feldhaus. Bartleson fouled out in 7 or 8 minutes. The score was 61-52 with 2 minutes left in the third. If the game was played 10 more times GRC would win 5 of them.
