2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣9️⃣ ⛹️ We're reviewing this year's Seniors in the "Best Freshmen in the 2026 Class" thread.

Who are the promising Frosh from across the Bluegrass this year?

@Mahogany21 likes the looks of Mason Grivna (Ballard), Alijah Owens (Ashland), and Chase Bentley (Lexington Christian).

Griffin Mayes from St. Mary is very good in Region 1.  A combo guard with good size!

Ty Bryant from Oldham County has to be near the top of the list.

Who in the 9th?

I don't know of any freshman making a impact on varsity. There is Wimzie at Highlands who is in the 8th grade. Alot of good freshman playing freshman ball and JV but I don't know if that makes the list here.

Cameron House from North Hardin.  Very good player.  Averaging 14 ppg.

Caleb Bumpus @ Webster County is leading them in scoring at 17.8.

Scott high school just added what has to be a top 5 if not #1 freshman in the state Ben Brown.  Just moved back to NKy.

I am sure Ben is good but the number 1 player in the state in the class of 2029 for the next 4 years is Big Mason . 6’11 with good feet , a good touch around the rim and can hit the three.
