Actually they hired Jordan Brangers to be new head coach. He coached the team during the summer and then resigned right before school started. Not sure what all the details were but was told it was resign or be fired. Breeze agreed to coach this season only on an interim basis.

I spoke with another 5th region official on Saturday and asked him about the official in question. He said the official in question is terrible. Coach Breeze said that was the first technical foul called on him in 11 years of coaching in the 5th region. I wasn’t at the game so I can’t say how bad he was. Adair’s radio guys didn’t like the way it was officiated. Something definitely changed because these 2 teams had played 3 very close games with Adair winning by 2 and 3 while Taylor won by 6.

With their current trajectory, Adair will be lucky to beat Marion in the first round of the district.

Adair just finished off an impressive 8 days going 4-0 with 82-80 and 63-60 victories over Taylor County sandwiched around a win over Russell Co and a very impressive win over Larue County.

92-80 Final. After a dominant 32-12 2nd quarter, Adair is never seriously threatened.

70-51 Adair. End of the 3rd quarter

48-25 at the half.

2A section 4 semifinal from Marion County. 43-23 Adair with less than 2 minutes to go 1st half. Dominant showing by Adair thus far.

Cameron House from North Hardin. Very good player. Averaging 14 ppg.

How often can a team shoot 51 % overall and 42 % from 3 point range, score 89 points and still lose by 26? That’s what happened to Adair.

If Adair can get better as a team defensively and rebounding, they will be a very tough out come March. Scoring will not be an issue with George, Gilbert and Blakey. I’ve been impressed with Sophie John Shehan as well. Picked up scoring slack while Gilbert and Blakey were out. Very good size. Smallest starter is 6’3”.

Adair’s first game with a full roster. Gilbert with 25, Blakey with 22 and 13 rebounds, Tylin George with 14 pts, 9 rebs and 5 assists. Will be interesting to watch this group develop. Could definitely be the team nobody in the 5th region wants to see. Very impressed with the size this group has. Smallest starter is 6’3”.

I heard he should be eligible by December 18th. His sister on the girls team is currently ineligible as well.

Adair was missing Dawson Gilbert due to injury and Landon Blakey who hasn’t been ruled eligible yet.

Did not see that he would be coaching girls. I guess we’ll wait and see on the boys coach.

Hunter Cundiff is being promoted to HC at Adair County.

I hate hearing good things about Taylor County. Oh well.

He was also O for the day. Should have called a TO and got it to Loy. JMO. Can’t complain though. Breeze is best coach in Adair history.

Most important shot in Adair history and Gilbert was the last guy who shoulda been taking it. Never should have kept the timeouts in his back pocket. Ball shouldn’t have been in anyone’s hands but Conor Loy.

I like the Indians to win this one as well. Adair had football guys (2 starters, 2 key reserves) that weren’t quite in basketball shape during the first meeting as well. Adair wasn’t playing close to their potential at that time either. Since January 3, Adair has 1 loss to a good full strength Warren Central team defeating some good teams along the way. Undefeated in a very solid 5th region this year. Veteran group that won’t be rattled at all. BG is a solid group but I think this is the year for Adair to potentially advance to Saturday morning.

Best PG in the state.

Clinton’s biggest weakness is a lack of skilled ball handlers. It definitely showed when BG turned up the pressure. Refs were terrible but they sucked on both ends at least.

As an Adair County fan who has also watch Clinton a lot this year, I can say that the only thing worse than 4th region officials is 5th region officials!

Cumberland wins 82-77. Congratulations. Probably their biggest win in recent school history. Adair better figure out how to play defense and rebound or they will get crushed with their schedule.
