Coach Deron Breeze came back as interim this  year but Adair will need to find a new head coach.

It's not officially listed on the school district's site at the moment. I'm working on getting some verification here about whether or not it's open.

For a little added background, Coach Breeze announced he was stepping down from the job back in April 2025 and then in September after a nearly 6-month-long search for a new head coach, Adair County announced that Deron Breeze would be back for the 2025-2026 season as an interim head coach. So based on that, you would have to assume that Adair County is going to be looking for a new head coach at this point, but without the job being listed it's hard telling.

Actually they hired Jordan Brangers to be new head coach.  He coached the team during the summer and then resigned right before school started.  Not sure what all the details were but was told it was resign or be fired.  Breeze agreed to coach this season only on an interim basis.

Adair loses their 3 leading scorers George, Blakey, and Gilbert all who are the top 3 scorers. They return Shehan who started as a sophomore, as well as 4 juniors who played rotational minutes, and a 6'8 freshman in Truk Jennings who had rotation minutes.

Man not end up being open, as in Coach Breeze may be staying on? Or may not end up being open, as in Adair County may just promote from within and not bother posting the job?

Wondering the same thing?

I don't believe Coach Breeze ended up stepping away.
