These guys are not first ballot HOF guys. Quality players in their own rights, and all had shining moments for their respective teams. Not superstars by any means.

The QB for Highlands is scary good the next 3 years. Opposing teams will have their hands full. The Blue Colonels and Birds will both have new Varsity QB's next year. I give the Birds the edge on paper from the QB position, no doubt. Let's see what happens come Spring Ball time. Time always tells!

The other problem with the NIL is that it inflates player's egos. A guy who is a benchwarmer and not starter material thinks the grass is greener and he should start- he elects to go somewhere else, loses the job, and the movement continues until he runs out of eligibility. The money piece also comes full circle, $ talks. Players think their valuation is way higher than currently at X school, so they fly the coup because Y school is willing to pay them a higher price.

What makes Highlands interesting to me is that their head coach is a former Blue Colonel and heck of a former player.

Cov Cath, Highalnds, and Beechwood are all very good teams. Anything can happen in the Region Tourney. 1 bad night and the season is done. All 3 you will see in the tournament. I hope that Highlands and Cov Cath are on opposite sides of the bracket to possibly meet in the Finals. Lloyd is also a quality squad.
