I think the HC at Franklin County who back pedaled would have been interesting for the Birds. Franklin has been a perennial title contender the last several years. They are in that state title game this year. Someone please remind me why he backed out? I understand a change of heart but was there more at play?

Totally hypothetical here but if Sphire stays on as HC for the next three years and they do not win a championship with the phenom upcoming QB, maybe it will be evident then change is needed in Caketown. This is coming from a Blue Colonel. I know my team is going to have a tough time defending him, that is for sure. You have Jared Lerenzen's kid among other great athletes. I did not watch the game last night but was Lerenzen utilized much?

That falls on the coaches. You put the players in the right position!

Highlands has the play makers and athletes. For whatever reason, the team fizzles out by the middle of the post season the last few years. He and his staff don't seem to have the "it" factor in Caketown as previous coaches.

They made no defensive adjustments. Tell me what they did. That kid touting the ball for the Rebels had a career night not only for himself, but in the history of BC football. Embarrassing defensive performance. Let me be very clear- it's never the kid's fault. I blame the coaches who are the ones who are supposed to make the adjustments. EE has won at CCH. He is a heck of a coach. But next year we need a dynamic offense that does not just run the ball almost every play. As far as the defense is concerned, I am not saying staff changes are needed. Adjustments need to be had and the focal point needs to be stopping the run!

Boyle seems to need attitude adjustments from the coaches on down. Look how many unsportsmanlike penalties occured. Jawing at the CCH players. It trickles down from the coaches. Boyle is a heck of a program. Until they are dethroned, they are the king's of 4A no doubt. "Win with grace and lose with dignity."
