Also, team and staff should be looking to exorcise some demons from last season’s trips to up to Cincy where so many things went wrong. This is already a legendary Trinity class, but they are still chasing that elusive undefeated season. Against this schedule, that would immortalize them in school and state history forever.

First game of the season I think this Trinity defense gets out on the raptors fast and aggressive, and will give the Rocks offense a chance to open up early. I think it has the chance to be a big statement win for Trinity to start their national campaign and I pick them to win by two scores in a high scoring game!

One of them, maybe Stivers, dragging two defenders into the endzone during the scrimmage was absolutely electric.

I wouldn’t hesitate to say this is the most loaded receiver ROOM I’ve ever seen at Trinity. Every single guy is an absolute weapon and the defense just has to pick their poison. Zane doesn’t even need to think about who he’s throwing to. If they’re open, a play is being made

Not to wish the time away or jump way ahead of this thread, but does anyone know when the search will begin for his successor? Will they look during the season or wait until it is official? Hoping for another national search but also would have faith in a home-grown guy.

Some new uniforms for the tigers. Seem to have gotten rid of all text and all stripes from the previous set, and changed the number font on the greens. Curious to see what the new whites look like. It appears their whole lineup is now Nike FUSE, where before I believe it was just the yellows.

Seems Carney has decided to stay at Trinity in the class of 2027 and has committed to Akron.

Is there a Green-White game this year? I can’t remember the last time I’ve been to one but I remember they did it when I was there.

Would argue on DL Jason Hatcher definitely has to be first team over anyone except Herron and personally would take Rodjay Burns at DB and Jack Dingle and Jordan Whiting at LB as first-teamers as well. Also Carter Schwartz graduated with me in '23 not '24.

The FHSAA approved a separate playoff in the state's biggest sports for the top 8 ranked teams, regardless of classification. In football, these teams will be decided by MaxPreps computer rankings. Could this ever happen in Kentucky and would anyone ever want it to? How will this potentially affect the landscape of high school sports across the country and here in Kentucky? Personally, I don't think Kentucky has 8 schools in any sport competitive enough to compete for something like this, but could allow us to see matchups in football between schools that seemingly won't play each other otherwise. At a loss for words and completely torn up over this. A big reason I chose to attend Purdue and obviously a legend at Trinity. Above all a humble and kind person who pushed through so much adversity. Oakland High School from Murfreesboro, Tennessee finished 15-0 as #2 in the state and #36 in the country according to MaxPreps. About three and a half hours away from Trinity and I believe they have not played before. Could be a fun matchup and a way to return to playing schools south of Kentucky.

I have been meaning to bring this up on here for a while. I have created Trinity’s uniforms in CFB 26 (the video game) and have always wanted to fill out an all-time roster for it. I have some notable guys on there but not the knowledge to fill out a whole roster.

As far as out-of-state goes, I’d like to see Brownsburg or Cathedral from Indiana, or maybe Mt. Carmel from Chicago. Maybe even a good Georgia school would be fun as well. With that being said I wouldn’t mind seeing stronger in-state competition from other classes on the schedule as well. Better for the state of KY football and obviously Trinity’s RPI come playoffs.

For what it is worth I have heard separately that Moeller and Carmel are gone as well.

South Warren 3-0 in this game in their history across 4A and 5A Trinity 29-4 in this game across 3A, 4A, and 6A Not sure that has any bearing on this game, but figured I'd throw it out there. I think Trinity is historically talented and seems to be clicking at the right time this year. I don't know much outside of what has been posted here about South Warren, and I hope they continue to have success in this class. I think the Shamrocks will be too much for the Spartans, as they have been for every other team from Kentucky this year. Difficult to land on a score prediction, but I don't see it being close. Trinity looks to capture an unprecedented 30th state title, also forming a 3-peat. This would put them into their own category in Kentucky, and in rare air nationally, with my research showing only 5 schools with 30 or more state titles in the entire country.
