GRC had a great game plan and their kids executed the plan very well. They took MOCO out of their game and frustrated them all night long. MOCo led once the entire game, 2-0 and that was in the first minute or so. Every time MOCO attempted to make a run, GRC punched back, they were the aggressor grabbing rebounds, getting to the rim and their defense was excellent. I believe coaching was a big part of this win. GRC could make a big run next week at the Sweet 16.

Late in the game, one of Scott High players a senior who had suffered a season ending knee injury was inserted in the game. He was passed the ball under the basket and allowed to score by the GRC players. Classy display of sportsmanship by the GRC coaching staff and players. Good luck tonight!!

Big beat down by GRC in this one, total domination in every aspect of the game. At one point late in the 4th quarter GRC was up by 34.

I attended the game, GRC's defense was outstanding and took Douglas out of their game. Big win for the cards, they are playing very good ball right now.

Who were the two players for Ashland that didn't play? Akins is a really nice player that already is receiving D1 offers.

Big win for the GRC Cards over Father Judge (Philadelphia, PA) at the Beachball Classic in Myrtle Beach, SC. Montez Gay lead all scorer's with 24 points. Father Judge won the Pennsylvania 6A championship last year.

Actually, Boyd led by as many as 26 at one point. At the half GRC was down 50-31. GRC outscored Boyd Co. 44-24 in the 2nd half. Boyd was on fire early, but appeared to wear down late in the game. Also bothered by GRC's press. Over-all a great high school game, both teams will compete for regional titles!!

Impressive win by Clark County over a good Woodford County team. GRC beat Woodford in every aspect of the game: rebounding, shooting and defense. Late in the 4th quarter, GRC was up by 42.

Feldhaus, shot 26 free throws, more than George Rogers Clark shot collectively as a team. Does that seem odd to anyone? He fouled constantly both on defense and offense.

In regards to GRC fans wanting a technical called near the end of the game. A Montgomery Co. manager and player ran on to the court prior to the game being over. This could have resulted in a technical foul, but the referees let it go. Looking forward to these two teams meeting up again at the regional tournament!!

I agree with nikeman49, great crowd, atmosphere and facility. The score is not indicative of how close this game was. With 3-1/ 2 minutes to go it was a tied game. I really believe GRC is starting to peak at the right time. We'll see how both teams do come tournament time!!

I've seen many high school basketball games, this one may have been one of the best I've seen. Both teams played hard, made big plays and left it all on the court. Despite having played 3-games in 4-days, it was apparent GRC was physically the fresher/stronger team in the 3-overtime periods, especially the last OT period. They kept their composure and showed more grit and determination to win this game. Two teams to watch come tournament time!!

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time over the course of several years that Montgomery Co. has had better talent than GRC. I think the main reason for GRC dominance over Montgomery Co. has been coaching. Josh Cook and his assistants have always done an incredible job of coaching their kids and managing their talent.
