It’s Mays. I’m related to him.? I’ve gone through my entire life enduring the Mays-Mayes thing, lol. My FFA jacket in 1970 came back with Mayes stitched on it. That’s one example amongst many.

  • In the event that there are uninitiated newbies here, it’s the RPKOD club.   As is occasionally the case, the Runcible one, in the immortal words of Maxwell Smart, missed it by that much.

Newbie also means anyone born after 1970 to pops.

Well, how about that.

Probably (but not necessarily a certainty, as Campbell may have something to say) sets up a rematch in the 10th region final in a few days).

This is a district title for coach Mays and the Indians in just his 2nd season as their coach. One thing about Coach Mays like him or not he wins. This was Montgomery's first win over GRC in almost 9 years to the day.

I watched the NFHS feed.  What was the cause of the GRC fans wanting a technical called near the end of the game?

Supposedly first time Montgomery has won since 2014.

On the KHSAA scoreboard it had Montgomery defeating GRC 61-49 on Feb. 24, 2016.

First game of the district. Paris then beat Montgomery for the championship.

Yes I was just saying that game was the last time Montgomery had defeated GRC.

A MoCo student apparently was on the court.  Removed immediately.

My thoughts exactly.

Everytime I buy in on a team they do this to me. I have to stop giving out compliments.

Can anyone share actual info on the game?  Interested in how MoCo did this.  Rematch next week could be totally different?

I think this was the case regardless of who won the 40th tonight.

The bad in this is one of the other 3 district champs opens the regionals with GRC.  But you were going to have go through them to get to Rupp regardless.

Exactly.  Old School Papa says you gotta play who’s in front of you at the time.
