Heard there was an injury to Nicholas County’s Preston Blake in last night’s game with Harrison County. Anyone know if this is true?

MoCo has cakewalk to finals. Huge district win for them

I agree.   The main thing was to have Campbell in the opposite bracket.

I'm going to build on this thread with my weekly 10th region commentary rather than spreading conversation out too thin.

It is difficult to comprehend that we have already reached the regional tournament season. This time of year is invariably bittersweet. On one hand, I am elated by the excitement that the 10th region tournament brings annually; on the other hand, I feel a sense of melancholy as we approach the conclusion of another year.

I believe that the most effective approach to navigating this week's information is to analyze my predictions for the regional tournament's first round and allow all of you to critique them and present counterarguments.

In the 6:00 game on March 10th, Montgomery County will opt to rest its starters early in the match against Harrison County. Despite Harrison's commendable resurgence late in the season, Montgomery County will present a particularly challenging matchup at this stage of the year. In the subsequent game that night, Mason County will secure a victory over Bishop Brossart. Similar to Harrison's late-season improvements, Bishop Brossart also experienced a significant turnaround this year; however, Mason County's experience on that stage is likely to be a decisive factor in the outcome.

On March 11th, Campbell County and GRC will tip off at 6:00 PM. While I don't ever.... ever, ever, ever, ever, ever (insert Chris Tucker's face here) underestimate the Camels in March, the Cardinals are likely to present too formidable a challenge. This matchup poses a significant hurdle, and without a fully healthy Austin Davie, I cannot envision a scenario that favors Campbell County. In the second game of the night, Augusta will secure a victory against Nicholas County.

Ranking the Remaining Teams:

1a. Montgomery County

1b. GRC

3. Campbell County

4. Mason County

5. Augusta

6. Bishop Brossart

7. Nicholas County

8. Harrison County

This is correct.  I amended the original post.

Is there a surprise team capable of getting to the finals where history shows anything can happen?  Camels probably had the best shot, but Davie’s broken hand makes their route highly improbable.  Mason is back to full strength after being decimated by the flu and Coach Kirk is a tough out always.  Mason vs MoCo redux could be interesting.  All-in-all it just looks obviously to me like MoCo vs GRC in their 2025 round “4”.

I’m picking the camels win by 4! Don’t underestimate the camels in March. They have a hungry group of kids that are ready to play at Rupp again! GRC is a very good team and it will definitely be a hurdle for the camels, game of the 10th region!

A real shame.  Looking like GRC vs MoCo rematch in finals.

Campbell was the only team with a puncher’s chance to prevent this scenario, but they had to have Davie.
