Taylor’s Adair County loss was surprising to me. Not that they lost but the margin. Did they have everyone healthy and playing?

Some sort of ranking (RPI at least) should be used to seed the Sweet 16!

Is Feldhaus a big strong kid? Approximate weight? Those are some very impressive numbers early on. Looks like he averaged 13 & 8 as a sophomore. Nice addition for his uncle! I watched GRC scrimmage Pulaski and they too had a 6’7” kid that was a strong rebounder. Appears he’s averaging 10 RPG through 3 games. Could be an interesting matchup between those 2 big fellas.

I think the comment on lack of quickness is a fair one. They’re not an overly athletic team but also haven’t been the last couple years (and they won it both years).

Interested to see how Robbins looks this year. If he can take a significant step forward, they could well become the favorite in the 45th. It’s there for the taking for sure.

They clearly have the pieces but it has to be concerning for them. I know some are going to say “but football,” but to me that’s mostly an excuse for basketball coaches at this point (unless their football team was at Kroger Field this weekend). The last 2 years has seen Pulaski looking good early (yes even with having a football team), which isn’t happening this year. Curious to see how it plays out for them this time.

Baird & Fugate. Who’s the third guard you’re referring to? I think Lincoln and DCA could beat those teams on a given night, but don’t think they’re on the same level. I also think that Southwest is a notch above DCA. Each of the last couple seasons, everyone talked about how good the 45th was going to be. Though one could argue the teams didn’t live up to the hype, I don’t think most expect it to be that level this year. Competitive for sure, but not the same level of expectations for the team. With Mercer and West, I think that the 46th will be the district with 2 heavyweights this year.

No doubt that Pulaski is the champ until someone takes it from them. But they are a well-oiled machine year to year. Great feeder system and guys that have played together for years. That’s a compliment to Coach Fraley. So, even with a couple football players only having been there a couple weeks, one would think Adams in his first year at West is going to be at a greater disadvantage early in the season than Pulaski. Regardless, this win (and the margin) is an indicator that there may be a third team (Mercer and Pulaski) with a serious shot at winning it this year.

North Laurel must be a little better than many thought. Beat #16 Lex Cath by 25 in their opener. LC may have been overrated but still.

I too have been saying don’t overlook them! It’s crazy to think that Coach Adams has been itching to return to the sidelines for the last couple years while employed by Boyle as a teacher. Yet he had to go elsewhere to get that opportunity. Make it make sense!

Guess who’s back? Extremely impressive win. Just goes to show the difference that quality coaching makes.

St X is loaded. Not only are they the favorite to win the 7th, I’ll take them as the favorite to win it all this year.

My comment was in reply to StatsDontLie’s post that they heard they could both be going to CAL. I only see where you said Hager wasn’t leaving, but your above reply to me says the opposite. Hard to keep up!

Ok then that makes sense about Turner. But even if true about him, both of them leaving and going to CAL? I was just saying that seems unlikely. And looking at a comment above, it doesn’t sound that it is true about Hager.

I would be really surprised if this all turns out to be true. Maybe it’s from the rumblings due to all the uncertainty around the basketball program?? Sounds far fetched to me.
