We at OHS have a HUGE problem right now. If our QB is out we have a problem vs. CAL.

If Apollo can win their first 3 or 2/3 I think they will definitely move up.

I watched the PT/Murray game on YouTube and I think Murray is really solid. With that being said I also have my questions. The Gage Chapman kid is he #10? I looked on the old KHSAA roster and it's #20. Wasn't sure if he was on their or I know at OHS we didn't have everyone's jerseys correct in our two scrimmages. My concern for Murray is they had a scrimmage vs. PT and it was only like a 1/2 of a game. If they can't handle the tempo of Apollo that might be a concern. I agree Apollo has to stop the run and that is a key factor. If they do then look for Apollo to win this game. If not then Murray will have the win. The Walls kid is a monster and we have a lot of kids at OHS that know him well. Some kids have said he's injured, but he looked good on that YouTube video scrimmage vs. PT.

Catholic returns a lot. Owensboro gets a new coach. DC will be down. This is going to be a 1 horse Region. I think Apollo cuts down the nets at the Sportscenter.

The atmosphere at Rash was awesome last night for a scrimmage. This is a great opportunity to get them in Rash.

@jester270 will know more because he was there. I was told by an assistant coach the score after varsity was 7-6 Apollo. Now JV and Freshmen I have no idea. Not a good showing by the Apollo offense I heard, but they didn't play but 1 starter at WR and I don't think Max played the whole first half. If they played with out Rice, Lillipop and Green then I see they kept it really basic. Also, there is something going around about Murray High Coaching Staff filming the game. Is this illegal? and what's the penalty from the KHSAA?

Apollo goes to Princeton tonight to play the Tigers of Caldwell County. I have heard alot from @jester270 and @ApolloFan98 that this offense can be one of the best in school history. I really want to see their defense step up, which I heard they did against Meade County. I'm really waiting next week when they play Murray. Who do you have in this matchup?

Paducah Tilghman comes to Owensboro to take on the Aces. I really don't know much about Paducah Tilghman so I'm assuming they have a ton of speed which can challenge the Aces. However, if Paducah can't cover the pass well then they are in for a long night. Who do you have in this scrimmage?

I was there. I’m worried about the line play on the goaline. We couldn’t protect or Ganaway Jr was just trying to create. Need to get Green the ball in that part of the woods. There’s a lot of positives, but we have some areas we need to figure out.

If you can hold Owensboro offense to 7, I know we got a pick 6, but that's good for Mayfield's defense.

I know Q when he coached my son at Owensboro. I hate it for him, but he can get them pointed in the right direction.

2026 Scrimmage that looks to be a good match-up. Couple of Questions for Aces fans. What does the Aces defense look like without the Defensive line and loss of Linebackers they had last year. The Aces lose a lot of fire power in Miles Edge, Xavier Maddox, Thomas, Cam James, and Hudson Ebelhar? Questions for the Maroon Fans? Is the Madisonville Defense prepared to stop the Air Raid sirens of the Aces? What will the Maroons look like after Montez Hightower?

I was told it was Ocath vs Apollo Highlands vs Battle Ground Highlands defeated OCath in a very tight game.

I’m looking at it from both sports. Yes Kentucky High School Football was ahead of the curve. Now it’s not. We have to look and see why every other neighboring state are leading the way. Yes our once proud “basketball” state is not as good as traditional old football states like Texas and Alabama. Just naming a few. Even Geno, one of the best college basketball coaches, has said we play too many games in America and if we don’t get back to practicing, then we are going to be behind European countries. If you look at the Dream Team blowing out everyone to even early 2000s where our NBA stars lost to Lithouiania and Spain. To even now where we need Steph Curry to sink a game winning shot. We are losing our skill set. Just like soccer our soccer in the US is terrible compared to Europe.

This is why Kentucky high school football is terrible compared to other states. At one time we passed Tennessee High School football. Now they are better. It’s not like UK and UL basketball are beating down Kentucky High Schools to find basketball recruits. These kids play WAY WAY too many games and not enough practice. Our skills are terrible in basketball and travel teams are a cause of it. If someone says “that’s the only way to get recruited” they are clueless because UK and UL ain’t offering their kids. Maybe 2 guys from Kentucky from each school. It’s pitiful
