  1. Owensboro now has their own network to live stream games Red Devil Network
  2. I can see a path for 7-8 wins as well, offensively they should be explosive but they need some sort of running game this year. Behind what I think could be the best offensive line in the city next year they have the talent at skill to continue to put up points on anyone. My biggest concern will be their defense, if they can get stops then they surely will be an interesting team to keep an eye on. District game vs graves is away this year, that would be one to watch.
  3. You're right this is a recruiting thread and it’s to highlight a kid who has put in real work and earned recognition from big programs. Johnson has developed tremendously, and that’s something worth acknowledging. We can debate team outlooks later on the 2026 Apollo Eagles thread lol. But here, I can give credit where it’s due. The young man has earned it.
  4. Assuming they schedule is the same this year Heritage Hills and Murray could be potentially be wins for the Eagles. That would be huge. Who would you say their 2-3 losses come against? OHS, O'Cath, ???
  5. 2025 Record & Results 2025 was the first season under head coach Quadarius Wallace after a 1–10 2024 campaign, and the team showed HUGE improvement in competitiveness and culture. The Panthers finished the 2025 season with a 5–6 overall record. They went 1–2 in district play and placed 3rd in 6A District 2. At home they were 1–3, and on the road 4–3. Season Highlights Strong opening: Under new head coach Q. Wallace, Daviess County dominated Russellville 45–6 in the season opener. Biggest offensive show: They dominated Christian County 60–7 later in the year. Competitive wins included victories against McLean County (29–20) and Apollo (34–28). Close games: Narrow loss to Meade County (21–20) and a tight district loss to Henderson County (7–6) showed toughness. Playoffs The Panthers earned a Class 6A playoff berth but were defeated 50–20 by Hopkinsville in the first round. Garrison Barker threw for nearly 300 yards with 3 TDs and WR Jace Hunt had an explosive game, but Hopkinsville’s rushing attack was dominant. They will miss those 2 players and their production in 2026 Outlook for the 2026 Season Coaching Stability & Culture With Coach Q entering his second year, the program’s direction and expectations should be clearer. The playoff appearance and several competitive district games in 2025 set a foundation for growth. Returning Talent Parker Higginbotham looks to be their best returning player and leader for next season. Defensively Coach Q is known to have players prepared and 2026 their defense should be dominant. Areas to Improve Offense with the loss of Barker and Hunt DC it is interesting to see who will be their QB and playmakers this year. District Competition The 6A District 2 is competitive. DC could easily be 2nd in district behind S. Warren Expectations Better record: A finish above .500 seems realistic Bottom Line The 2025 season was a clear step forward for the Daviess County Panthers, marked by energizing wins, resilience in close games, and a competitive playoff game after a tough 2024 season. Coach Q was the man for the job from the start and now with him settled and entering his 2nd season as head coach the 2026 outlook is optimistic, with great potential for a winning record.
  6. Max should have a great Sr season but with the talent lost from last season and with what they have returning, what is the realistic expectation for next years Apollo team? Even if Lillpop and co come out do you think they help that much in making a jump to being competitive with O'Cath let alone OHS. After losing at home last season vs DC (no offense to DC) I would still expect them to come in last place in the city-county race. Even in the QB discussion in Owensboro right now between Max, Gway, and Carothers, Max may have the most to prove after last season compared to the other 2 imo.
  7. Right, I can't seem to understand how they are not ranked high or even at all.
