  1. Will there be any Boyle administrators questioning if people from Covington can count to 100?
  2. The Bengals had a grand total of 37 (26 throws and 11 rushes) plays today. 10 of those plays came on 3rd down (2-10 btw). Mixon had 16 yards on 8 carries with a long of 4. He clearly wasn't being efficient and the situations didn't really lend themselves to running more. The holes were there on some plays and Mixon just doesn't hit them like he used to. What I don't understand is where are the other backs like Williams or Brown?
  3. I thought Browning played well considering the O-line he has, the D-line he was going up against, and the lack of Tee Higgins
  4. Most concerning thing about this game was the defense giving up over 400 yards.
  5. They are a very selfless team, no doubt about that. Boyle is capable of beating you so many ways on offense. Quisenbery, D Brown, and G Brown can get outside of the tackles and just run right by you. Bodner (and the others) can run in between the tackles. Dawson can is a threat to run or throw on every play too.
  6. Then start beating those teams. When's the last time a team from Western KY beat a power from Central or Eastern KY? Outside of Mayfield, what other programs in the far west part of our state are competing with (and winning) against the state's top programs? It's hard to call it disrespectful when a team like PT is ranked at 4 through 7 all year and then watch them lose in the semi finals to a team that was ranked higher than them all year, it sounds like good rankings all year.
  7. Outside of a shootout with LCA (a program that always plays them well) in August the Rebels have held every team they've played to 21 and under. Many of the points have come against the 2nd string. So much attention gets paid to the offense because of their sensational athletes. There's no doubt it is fun to watch players like Tavey or Brown juke and outrun everyone on the other team, but this Rebel Defense has been equally impressive all year long.
  8. Boyle has too much speed at WR for Cov Cath, and the Rebel Defense has been playing lights out all year. Boyle will win another state title this year and people will need to start comparing how this era of dominance matches up with their run in the late 90's/early 00's. Boyle 36 Cov Cath 14
  9. The shank of all shanks right there. Highlands didn't even come after that.
  10. Gotcha. What's your thoughts on Franklin's speed? They look a lot faster than I thought they would.
  11. Looked just like Brandin Echols intercepting Tua today in the Jets-Dolphins game.
  12. Or a DPI. It seems pretty clear by now that they aren't going to line up and beat Boyle. They are going to have to do something explosive or gimmicky.
  13. I hate to be critical of refs, especially at the HS level, but I thought that was a terrible spot for Highlands on that 4th down run.
  14. No choice there. You don't know how many chances they'll get that close to the end zone.
  15. Kenny Pickett is still there, so I don't think it's going to be that much of an improvement.
  16. This injury is going to tell us a lot about Zac Taylor. With this roster, a good coach would be able to work around this injury and still win 3 games or so.
  17. Interesting coaching turnover in the 12th these last few years. I would never count out Jeff Jackson at Lincoln, and I also wouldn't sleep on Taylor Harper at West Jess. He's young, but got a great mind for basketball, I could see West Jess rebuilding quickly and staying on top of the 46th.
  18. I wish there were more playoff games being played on Saturdays, this is one reason why.
  19. I think you are spot on with this. I wouldn't even be surprised to see a running clock. I don't think Franklin is going to have the athletes to keep up with all of Boyle's weapons. Plus, the Rebel Defense doesn't get nearly the credit they deserve.
  20. The NFL is King. For perspective, last year's college national championship had 16.6 million viewers.
