  1. The over/under could 10 and still be too high.
  2. Bud, he just finished 2nd in the Cy Young. If he's your #3 starter then who are you rolling out as a #1 and #2?
  3. I think you are correct and I thought Boyle was firmly planted in the middle of 4A. I don't think they are likely to move up or down. Anybody able to easily confirm that?
  4. No other part of the state is so well represented across all classes like NKY is. They should be playing in and winning at least one championship nearly every year just because they get so many shots EKY has a stranglehold on 1A. Lloyd is a rising program but nowhere near ready to truly compete for a state championship in 3A. Boyle County already won the 2024 4A championship. Right? Trinity, Freddy D, Male, St X are all miles above everyone else in 6A. So really 2A and 5A are their only chances, and it wouldn't be totally shocking to see the area come away empty handed again next year.
  5. I have that wrong. The Browns/Rams game is what the NKY market has instead of Eagles/49ers.
  6. It's a good point, but I get the sense from Boyle people that they have so much confidence in themselves that they will just schedule whoever they want and just deal with the RPI ramifications. The community of Danville shows out for that game like no other regardless of the expected outcome.
  7. I despise the Steelers with every part of my being, but I can't even hate too much on TJ Watt as long as he isn't hitting Burrow. They'll probably win this game 13-6. Pretty much the entire country gets to watch 49ers/Eagles while NKY and Ohio are forced to watch the Steelers.
  8. Corbin was the only team with similar Star power, I don't think that game being the closest all year was a coincidence.
  9. 2011 Trinity will always be the one to beat. To take your question in a slightly different direction, I think this team is the best Boyle team ever, until next year.
  10. I don't disagree with you, but to be fair, under the old system wouldn't this game have been Boyle v Paducah or Franklin County? Those games would have been even uglier.
  11. I was advocating a few weeks ago that Corbin was the #2 team in the state and I feel even better about that after this game. Corbin had a chance to win that game and no one else was even close to doing that against the Rebels this year.
  12. Well said. Cov Cath probably beats 99% of the teams in Kentucky, and Boyle is probably the only one that can truly dominate them like this.
  13. So in my mind, I would consider those Central KY and separate from Lexington. I think Lexington, Louisville, CKY, NKY, WKY, and EKY are the areas that could be compared against each other. Scott County and Franklin County seem comparable to Dixie Heights and Highlands, good teams but ultimately not champions, and an area should be headlined by their champions (if they have any).
  14. Boyle is really spreading it out. They are more than just Tavey and showing it tonight. Scary thing is a lot of those players are juniors. Should we go ahead and give them the 2024 trophy too?
  15. I think in order for any area to have a legitimate claim as a state power, there needs to be at least one champion. Lexington is undoubtedly mediocre without Freddy D and Station, but is NKY really that good if none of those teams are able to bring home a state championship? Not to mention that NKY is probably the best represented across all 6 classes. This would be a good off-season topic.
  16. Good Lord, that line for Boyle is crushing them. #56 in Blue just gets completely blown up.
  17. I agree with you, but devil's advocate: EKY and WKY had a champion already so that is something they can say that NKY can't (at least yet).
  18. It's not fair to say that just based on this game. Boyle is unstoppable. Now if Cooper gets boat raced tomorrow, then I think you have a good point. But I don't think anyone other than Corbin and Trinity could hold a candle to this Boyle team.
  19. More than 0, but just barely. That goes for all sports there, not just football.
  20. As far as this game goes, I'm not really sure what we can expect to be different from last week. Zac Taylor is 4-20 as a HC without Burrow. I look for that to be 4-21 after Monday.
  21. CBS Sports Article So I think they can flex MNF but with enough warning, there is not enough time left to flex us out of this game. This was discussed an off-season or two ago and some teams (I think the Bengals were one of them) were vehemently against this idea, but ultimately the NFL won out.
