  1. Gotta kick it right there. Would rather have been up 2 possessions.
  2. It kind of feels like Corbin has outplayed Boyle so far. Just by the thinnest of margins though. I'll take Boyle because they have Haddix and I trust his ability to come up with some creative solutions to the problems Corbin's defense is creating.
  3. Smith with a huge sack and that Corbin defense is big all over the place, not just the twins.
  4. A la Tim Couch? God I hope not, but this organization has proven incapable of adequately protecting their best player.
  5. I love the idea, but it would be a lot of football for high school kids, plus it would further cut into basketball which I don't think ADs and Coaches would love. I think we could have more clarity on this topic if we would just reduce the number of classes, but that's been bandied about for years and seems to have no traction outside of this community.
  6. This would be so out of character for Zac Taylor and the Bengals in the 2020's. We have pretty much followed every rule to the letter and not had any major discipline issues (outside of Joe Mixon) for years. I also don't think he looked hurt during pregame or even last week against the Texans. .
  7. Every team has bad fans. To say that one team has the worst fans is just ridiculous, unless we are talking about the Cowboys, they are objectively the worst.
  8. Oof. That happened to me back in 2020. My kid's first Bengals game ever was the Cowboys right after Burrow got hurt. That was rough. As far as tanking goes, the draft is too much of a crap shoot to justify losing intentionally. Just try to be competitive this year and hopefully we can ruin the season for the Steelers and Chiefs.
  9. That definitely was not the QB worthy of a fully guaranteed contract.
  10. Isn't there an NFL commercial touting their ability to use AI to make a schedule that is optimized to reduce injuries?
  11. I don't need Andrew Whitworth selling me on Browning leading the Bengals. Does anyone on Earth actually expect Mike MacDonald to leave Ja'Marr Chase one on one in the second half, with no Tee Higgins?
  12. Paducah winning 4A, no. 1/2 of the statement I can live with. Everyone seems to agree that Boyle is the real deal. I'll acknowledge that I may be too high on Corbin, but I think that they are a very, very good team that is being slept on.
  13. Hot take warning: These are the two best teams (regardless of class) in the state playing. Sorry Louisville people.
  14. I would rather be hit in the head over and over with a cinder block than have to watch Jake Browning play QB for the Bengals.
  15. Evan McPherson is a good kicker. But every time I hear him get compared to Justin Tucker, I roll my eyes. Tucker literally never misses a kick unless it's blocked. McPherson is prone to the occasional miss. Let's go D!
  16. My guy, second tier?? Of their 7 non-district games they played 4 top 10 teams (per calpreps). How many other teams in the state can say that? I know they played Great Crossing and Madison Central, but man, it's basically impossible to play more of the Heavy Hitters than they have. If they are 2nd tier, who is 1st, and who are they playing? Mater Dei? The Bengals? There's no doubt that this schedule will have prepared Lex Cath for November football, I think that pays dividends for this game.
  17. What a schedule. That has to be among the toughest in the entire state.
  18. I don't think there have been many people saying it has a lot of value for accurately ranking teams. It's too easy to play soft schedules and inflate your record.
  19. Maybe relative to their teams from previous years they are down a bit, but this is still a very good team that is capable of winning 6A. I can't speak for their out of state games, but I would say that Boyle and Corbin would both consider that game to be their best victories of the season.
  20. Couldn't believe that. I thought for sure he would be out for weeks. Maybe there's a chance he plays this week after all.
  21. I think that's in the realm of possibilities, but I think it's more likely to be close. I could see Corbin winning, but not by more than 1 possession like I think Boyle is capable of.
