  1. Oh for sure, Boyle is getting talked about as the potential best team in the state, not Corbin, and I don't think that's a mistake or an oversight.
  2. Really? I must be a lot higher on Corbin than you then, I think that their defense is elite and this Boyle/Corbin game is pretty evenly matched.
  3. Not quite what I said... Boyle is being talked about as one of the best offenses (and teams) in the state. They have multiple D1 athletes, including the most dynamic player in the state since Wan'Dale, and a proven winner at HC. To me, when you say struggle to beat Trinity, I read that as might win 1 or 2 out of 10 matchups. This year, I think that matchup would be 5-5 or maybe even 6-4 in favor of Boyle. I'm not saying they are going to dominate them, but there is some data in common opponents to suggest that game would be competitive.
  4. Curious as to why you think Boyle would struggle to beat Trinity. Douglass won at Trinity earlier this year and Boyle completely dominated at Douglass. I'm not saying that Boyle would win easily but, I could definitely see them winning that hypothetical game this year.
  5. USA Today Article There's some more info about the game. Apparently the coach gave in to the team and crowd begging him to run up the score and go for 100 points. Threw a TD pass with time basically over to chase the points. I'd like to think there is some discussion going on about what sportsmanship is.
  6. The rough quarter was due to the fact that he had to force things that weren't there. 2nd Quarter Burrow isn't throwing the ball in that tight of coverage. Boyd has killed us with drops. This isn't the first game this has happened. Anyone remember the Chiefs game last year when he dropped a wide open TD with no one anywhere near him?
  7. Steelers (2X), at Chiefs, at Jags, Vikings, Colts, and Browns. You could, should if we are the SB contenders we think we are, go 5-2 against that schedule. If so, that puts you at 10-7 and in the playoffs without needing other teams to lose to get in.
  8. It would be great to win, but there is a path to the playoffs even without a win this game. Winning the division is probably already gone regardless of this game considering we are 0-2 in the division and 1-4 in the conference.
  9. I've been saying that for years. Burrow carries this team. Taylor seems like a great leader and culture guy, but the X's and O's seem to be difficult for this coaching staff.
  10. Are we going to be ready for them? I feel like we will be ready for the first drive, maybe two.
  11. No Higgins or Hubbard, plus Chase is questionable (but expected to play).
  12. The other team was too motivated because our team's defensive stats were inaccurately reported on KHSAA.
  13. They haven't needed to, Dixie is letting them run right up the middle every play.
  14. This has running clock in the first half written all over it.
  15. A question I have is why is 6A treated differently for East/West RPI from the other classes?
  16. Name, Image, and Likeness. Essentially players can now commercialize and profit off of those three things when they were previously not allowed. You see it a lot in college athletics now and it seems to be creeping into HS sports too.
  17. Honestly they could. The Packer's offense has been bad this year and the Steelers have TJ Watt.
  18. Male is in district 4, so that should be the West part of the state, correct?
  19. I know everyone is high on Stroud after his big game last week, but it was just the week before when he looked very pedestrian against the Panthers. He's certainly been the best rookie QB this year and has a bright future, but in this game, I don't think he is coming anywhere close to what he did last week.
  20. He definitely is capable of that but I don't think he'll have to for this game. Our pass rush may be the most underrated unit in the entire NFL and I think they'll continue to be difference makers.
  21. Weather, as if both teams don't play in the same exact conditions.
  22. Levis looks pretty good so far. He's definitely cooled off some from last week, but he actually looks like an NFL QB out there.
  23. That's the goal I believe. I've never seen or heard of an NFL team trying anything like this, so I'm curious to see how it goes. My section is orange so me and my kids will do our part. The Jungle is going to be wild for this one no matter what color the crowd looks like. Who Dey!!!!
  24. Baltimore at the top seems pretty high, but the NFL power rankings have them at #2, so good job here.
