  1. Isn't there an NFL commercial touting their ability to use AI to make a schedule that is optimized to reduce injuries?
  2. I don't need Andrew Whitworth selling me on Browning leading the Bengals. Does anyone on Earth actually expect Mike MacDonald to leave Ja'Marr Chase one on one in the second half, with no Tee Higgins?
  3. Paducah winning 4A, no. 1/2 of the statement I can live with. Everyone seems to agree that Boyle is the real deal. I'll acknowledge that I may be too high on Corbin, but I think that they are a very, very good team that is being slept on.
  4. Hot take warning: These are the two best teams (regardless of class) in the state playing. Sorry Louisville people.
  5. I would rather be hit in the head over and over with a cinder block than have to watch Jake Browning play QB for the Bengals.
  6. Evan McPherson is a good kicker. But every time I hear him get compared to Justin Tucker, I roll my eyes. Tucker literally never misses a kick unless it's blocked. McPherson is prone to the occasional miss. Let's go D!
  7. My guy, second tier?? Of their 7 non-district games they played 4 top 10 teams (per calpreps). How many other teams in the state can say that? I know they played Great Crossing and Madison Central, but man, it's basically impossible to play more of the Heavy Hitters than they have. If they are 2nd tier, who is 1st, and who are they playing? Mater Dei? The Bengals? There's no doubt that this schedule will have prepared Lex Cath for November football, I think that pays dividends for this game.
  8. What a schedule. That has to be among the toughest in the entire state.
  9. I don't think there have been many people saying it has a lot of value for accurately ranking teams. It's too easy to play soft schedules and inflate your record.
  10. Maybe relative to their teams from previous years they are down a bit, but this is still a very good team that is capable of winning 6A. I can't speak for their out of state games, but I would say that Boyle and Corbin would both consider that game to be their best victories of the season.
  11. Couldn't believe that. I thought for sure he would be out for weeks. Maybe there's a chance he plays this week after all.
  12. I think that's in the realm of possibilities, but I think it's more likely to be close. I could see Corbin winning, but not by more than 1 possession like I think Boyle is capable of.
  13. Oh for sure, Boyle is getting talked about as the potential best team in the state, not Corbin, and I don't think that's a mistake or an oversight.
  14. Really? I must be a lot higher on Corbin than you then, I think that their defense is elite and this Boyle/Corbin game is pretty evenly matched.
  15. Not quite what I said... Boyle is being talked about as one of the best offenses (and teams) in the state. They have multiple D1 athletes, including the most dynamic player in the state since Wan'Dale, and a proven winner at HC. To me, when you say struggle to beat Trinity, I read that as might win 1 or 2 out of 10 matchups. This year, I think that matchup would be 5-5 or maybe even 6-4 in favor of Boyle. I'm not saying they are going to dominate them, but there is some data in common opponents to suggest that game would be competitive.
  16. Curious as to why you think Boyle would struggle to beat Trinity. Douglass won at Trinity earlier this year and Boyle completely dominated at Douglass. I'm not saying that Boyle would win easily but, I could definitely see them winning that hypothetical game this year.
  17. USA Today Article There's some more info about the game. Apparently the coach gave in to the team and crowd begging him to run up the score and go for 100 points. Threw a TD pass with time basically over to chase the points. I'd like to think there is some discussion going on about what sportsmanship is.
  18. The rough quarter was due to the fact that he had to force things that weren't there. 2nd Quarter Burrow isn't throwing the ball in that tight of coverage. Boyd has killed us with drops. This isn't the first game this has happened. Anyone remember the Chiefs game last year when he dropped a wide open TD with no one anywhere near him?
  19. Steelers (2X), at Chiefs, at Jags, Vikings, Colts, and Browns. You could, should if we are the SB contenders we think we are, go 5-2 against that schedule. If so, that puts you at 10-7 and in the playoffs without needing other teams to lose to get in.
  20. It would be great to win, but there is a path to the playoffs even without a win this game. Winning the division is probably already gone regardless of this game considering we are 0-2 in the division and 1-4 in the conference.
  21. I've been saying that for years. Burrow carries this team. Taylor seems like a great leader and culture guy, but the X's and O's seem to be difficult for this coaching staff.
  22. Are we going to be ready for them? I feel like we will be ready for the first drive, maybe two.
