I've read the same. They can deny or no comment or decline requests for documentation all they want If they were indeed up to date and this is a clerical/online error, providing the documentation should ease that. If they are in violation, they should NOT have been coaching. Period. KHSAA has stated as much in bylaws PDF.

Had heard the three HCS (Central, John, North) high schools looked at turf stadiums that would be lined for multiple sports (football, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey). Did not know Central Hardin would be the first of the 3 to get a turf field for soccer only.

Many writers have coaches vote. I did when I previewed (so does Klemme from Ashland). While I was a writer, I was NOT a voter. So don't hurt yourself throwing the author under the bus so hastily.

I think Saturday would work better because of the travel and time zone.

That is soccer, not football

Multiple districts do get out early on Fridays. But 3+ hours drive and that time zone, plus warm-ups and eating would make 7 Eastern (6 Central for Daviess) very difficult. KHSAA game times are local to host. Ryle is host and Eastern. Daviess is visitor and Central. So showing 7 on Ryle means 6 Central for Daviess. Even on an early Friday, that's pushing it for a game that doesn't have to be played.

This is Version 3.0 of the constantly updating statewide Composite preseason/scrimmage schedule. I know plenty of games are missing. I know some sites/dates need to be switched. I do this as a service.

There is little chance this game is at 7 pm Eastern (as KHSAA scoreboard shows). That's not enough time for Daviess to get there and warm up without missing class (which bylaws say you can't do for REGULAR season; postseason is different). I'm thinking 8 p.m. Eastern or later.

The Arbiter.com northern Kentucky officials page (entered by schools themselves for referee assignments) shows Highlands hosting Ryle in a scrimmage at Highlands on Tuesday, August 9th. That doesn't seem right, but that's what it shows.

He turns 19 this school year, so it would be an exception for him to get the rare injury-repeat year (especially since he will not be bedridden). D1 still on table. So could a prep school (IMG)?

Knox Central will scrimmage AT Whitley County on Friday, August 12th. Don't know if they have an August 5th scrimmage.

A coach at Boyle County didn't even know Montavin had been cleared and asked me for my source (Montavin himself). Coach said he hadn't even been in contact with said player, before or after clearance.

Being told by a source that multiple kids from multiple families, even at younger (non KHSAA) ages, transferred from Taylor to nearby Campbellsville before July 1 because of a coaching change and the state law.
