Dixie played over at Rodger Bacon last night against Rodger Bacon, La Salle, and Northwest. They went 2-1 beating Northwest 9TDs to 0 and Rodger Bacon 4-0. Dixie lost to La Salle 4-3 in a fun fast paced 7v7.

When? Hopefully it’s after 4.

Dixie played against Wyoming,Turpin, and Princeton. They won all 3 by a combined 13TDs to 4TDs (3 on offense and gave up a pick 6.) Dixie scored 3-1 against Wyoming. This is the pick 6. Then they got hot against Turpin winning 7-2 mostly deep shots. And 3-1 against Princeton. Defense looked solid the whole 3 games.

So what would this mean for a school like Cov Cath, Highlands?

Dohn Community is 15-36 since 2015. This will be the first year they play a KY school. Dohn plays at Holy Cross (Covington) September 25.

Anyone else go to the spring game today?

I haven’t spoken to him since his wedding, but I do know he put in for it last time it came open. I hope he gets it, I believe he can do something with that team.

Gary Pence would be my front runner. Ludlow alumni, plenty of experience (asst. Conner, frosh HC Cooper). I believe he’s a teacher in the Covington School District.

This here is a huge difference between KY and OH. Ohio actually puts out effort for the kids.

I’m a big fan of Coach Johnson. I had the pleasure to meet him last season at Beechwood. Great guy. I think he will be a successful head coach when his time comes.

I like Dixie in 5A. I think they win the district this season with an 8-2, 7-3 record.
