I agree. I watched this one from the Hudl camera. The Breds moved well. I thought maybe the bench players for NCC were subbed in a little too soon as Holmes managed to cut into the 20+ point differential, but solid experience for those bench players.

I was told a player for Holmes when down with an Achilles' tear. Anyone have an update on the player? Prayers for him that it is not torn.

Didn't that already happen? The season already started, rosters were set, a game was played, and then he changed his mind and decided to play. In the end, these are still kids who want to play a game with their friends, so I am glad he is getting the chance to play if that's what he wants.

If I recall, you were the one who brought up the hit in question in another thread. Most HHS people would’ve been happy to say good game and move on, but you brought the hit up and said the flag and ejection wasn’t warranted.

Honestly, I only saw the hit at the end of the game in real time. It was nasty. Seeing the one earlier, it should’ve been a flag.

The second hit you posted should’ve flagged. He stood there, but in my opinion, he wasn’t flexing over someone. But come on, a hit like the first one? We had Ryle fans tell us “that’s not football” and Ryle coaches tell us “that hit was uncalled for.” Ryle players were celebrating on the sidelines while that kid was still down, not moving. Your team came to play and deserve to be excited. But not while a kid was motionless on the ground. In all honestly, there was unruliness from both teams and fans. All parties involved should be embarrassed by actions and words said.

It wasn’t the same player. The call at the end of the game was the correct one, and I’d be saying the same if it was a Ryle player on the receiving end of that hit.

Let’s be honest here, there was unruliness on both sides last night. As far as the hit, it was a penalty. It was called as such, correctly. There was no need for that kind of blind side hit that late in the game with a running clock. We walked out with one of your coaches, who knows my husband from the referee world, who apologized for the hit that was made and said “it was uncalled for.”

I don’t think this should be labeled “upset alert.”
