? Nice to see Bethlehem break through in the Rankings. Hard to remember less than a generation ago they were playing 8-man football in Bardstown.

? Really pleased that Newport is having a good season. Looking forward to the City Championship game with New Cath on October 6.

With Kolton Smith out for the season at QB does Newport have a chance to break the streak against NewCath? Have not won the Firemen's Bell since the 1999 season.

When did he get hurt and what happened?

I’m semi out of the loop but through the mill he was having foot surgery. Don’t know when but was told he’s done. Stinks for a senior to lose out the last year due to injury.  I’m not sure who steps up in his place, but he was big and had a cannon for an arm.

Please correct me if my information is wrong. I don’t want to put out any thing that could be false.

He tore ligaments in his foot during the Raceland game.

If I remember I don’t think this injury was from any contact I don’t think.
