They didn't stand out because most of them had to play out of position all year long. For example, 68 is the size of a linebacker, but he had to.play nose because he was the only one that could of done it on the team because of his strength. If that kid would of played linebacker sky was the limit. He still had a pretty good year at nose. If the defensive ends would of played some ol there line would of been way way better. If number 33 would of played some outside linebacker he would of stood out as well. He played there last year and excelled. That why I said the two team system didn't work and it was not the seniors fault. And yes they have brach rice coming back but not much more. They have a good receiver in number 3 but he has alot of drops and needs to work on holding onto the football. Number 7 is nice but he will be running for his life most of them time if they can't get any size on that team. That's not burkes fault. Brossart ran many kids off of this senior class. The whole fan base is glad brossart is doing good at another school. We will take burke hands down.

Everyone on this post is pro burke. He is a great guy and a great mentor. But if people can't call out obvious problems without others getting in their feelings. Maybe the ones in their feelings should jump on Facebook this ain't for you. No one is calling for burkes job. I personally believe brossart left him a sinking sink and he is bailing out the water as fast as he can. It's going to take a couple years for burke to make it his program, and he deserves that. But if you are looking for all rainbows and kittens Facebook awaits.

Everything you said is spot on. There was no adjustments made at all. It was the same thing every week wanting a different outcome. The two team system did not work at all, they just did not have the players. That might work at a school like cov cath or Beechwood but they don't even do that. They play the best players on both sides. It's high school and that is what is done. Dixie had some studs on that team and I feel they was misused all year. They could of been used on both sides and that alone could of won them more games. Then the hurry up offense has been a dumpster fire, racking up more penalties then first downs on numerous occasions. It's wore their own defense down most games, because they were on the field most of every game. That defense did a great job early in the year but, their own offense worn them down throughout the year with so many 3 and outs. Really sad for their seniors because there are some ballers in that group. Sad thing is I see dixie only getting worst next year with the seniors they are losing this year.

They are getting Schultz and Glasscock back this week I hear. That's huge. Both had concussions, if they play, and rice qbs dixie wins this one.

Those are giant issues another issue is the platoon system is not working. You have to play your best players on both sides of the ball period. 8, 7, 68, 45, 33 are by far the best players on the team. They need to play both sides of the ball at all times. Dixie is heading into district play. If they want a chance to win some games that has to happen!! Their ball security was absolutely terrible tonight as well. I think their wr number 3 fumbled the ball 3 times tonight by himself. You can't have that!! If they don't clean the penalties up they will not win another game. PLAY YOUR BEST PLAYERS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL!!

Dixie was missing their second best player glasscock, behind rice and it showed on the dline. Highlands was in command of the whole game. It was domination. Hats off to highlands. They owned the ground the air and the line of scrimmage!!

Dixies nt is in street clothes oh boy!! Going to be a long night. Anybody know why glasscock is not playing? They are going to see how important he is tonight. 28-0 first qrt and they running up the middle. Wow.

The dline and rice is the best unit on this team. Schultz is a beast at center for sure, he has the most starting experience on the team and a great leader. Other than that the dline is light-years ahead of the oline. It would be a massive upgrade. Their nt can run down rbs and te and some wrs, plus he is strong enough to take on double teams. He is college lb size and is a menace. He also has some of the longest arms I have ever seen on a kid that height. He takes a load off rice by keeping him clean and rice makes the tackles, lots of them. De 45 constantly pressures the qb and wins most his matchups. He is fast and athletic and makes the opposing qb uncomfortable most of the game. De 48 I believe is the only one that has been hurt, and he is good, just not as good as 68 and 45. But he is still above average when he is on the field. All 3 play to the whistle and they would win most the time i feel on the oline. Even if you bring one over as a powerback and have them help block for their qb and rb it would help. Not all the time but when they have to move the chains late in games. Any of the 3 would be one hell of a lead block to spring them. The guards are decent and I think one of them 3 could play guard and maybe move the guards to tackle in goaline situations. But what I would like see happen is the oline just come out and dominate on Friday.

Some good points there, but alot of Dixie's rushing yards are from their super talented QB running the ball in blown up plays. He leads the team in rushing and I think by a lot. Not saying the o-line is terrible, just saying they could be better. The defense is on the field most of the game anyway. I would love to be proved wrong being I'm a Dixie alum. I hope the o-line comes out and dominates. I think Burke is a huge upgrade, and this team has a way better energy then in years past. But the offense needs to stay on the field a little longer to beat a team like Highlands. I'm one of the people on here that thinks they have a chance to beat them.

Very true! Dixie has way too many drops. Plus Dixie's o-line is suspect. It doesn't have to be, but the platoon system is just not working for the o-line. Bring some of the d-line over and let them play both ways. Then I feel Dixie can move the ball. I believe their d-line is all 3 seniors and have played o-line as well. All 3 are gifted athletes, and are bulldogs. They need their dogs in the trenches on both sides.

If dixie plays their studs both sides of the ball, they can win for sure. Dixie has been in every game except the cov cath game, and they just waxed Beechwood. So cov cath is the best in nky in my opinion. Highlands is not cov cath, so this will be closer than many think.

That is probably correct. Dixie needs to put some of its defense line on the offensive line. All three of Dixie's D lineman would be their best offensive lineman. All 3 are studs and can play BOTH ways, and it probably needs to happen. They are already on the field most of the time anyway. Cov Cath dominated Dixie's Oline.

Dixie's offense was nonexistent tonight and the defense scored all of Dixie's points. You can't win games like that. I think it's time to put some of their horses from defense on offense. They could use Rice, Roaden, Glasscock, and Gregg on the offensive side. I think those 4 boys could play both ways. It don't have to be all the time but when it gets down to crunch time and they need to move the ball it would help. The offensive line was overwhelmed tonight and the qb Gregg was running for his life most of the night. The oline had a good week last week was hoping to see that again. Dixie also had some suspect calls against them, like a Cov Cath player holding on to Rice a little too long and he kicked his leg out of his hand and was called for a personal foul. Then when the staff reacted they threw another flag and gave them another 15 yards. Personally I didn't think it was a flag. But that alone was not the only reason Dixie lost. Next 3 to 4 games do not get any easier with Highlands, Beechwood, Simon Kenton and I believe Ryle coming up. Dixie has a great coaching staff and they will figure it out. I think the bye week is coming at a great time, and Dixie will come back out swinging. They are a feisty group of young men and have some really good athletes on that team. As far as Cov Cath, they have had some pretty big wins and can cause anyone on their schedule some headaches. Their QB got hurt, but the back up came in and did a pretty good job for them. Hopefully the injury is not serious and I wish him a speedy recovery. Number 55 is a player and did pretty much what ever he wanted on defense. He is big, strong and mean. Everything you want in a DE. Number 10 is a good WR and benefitted from some blow coverages last night. Cov Cath's offensive line is big, but I feel Dixie's strength is their defensive line, and Rice at mike. (I feel Dixie's DL is one of the best in NKY and Rice is the best LB in NKY.) Dixie got to Cov Cath's QBs alot tonight. At one point the 3rd string QB was in for Cov Cath. But Cov Cath took advantage of Dixie's secondary and carved them up tonight. (Dixie is young in the secondary). I also know Beechwood DL is great as well and will give Cov Cath problems up front. But Cov Cath will finish with a winning season I believe. Good luck to both teams on the rest of the seasons.

When dixie puts two halfs together they can beat anyone. Don't be surprised if they beat cov cath next week at home if they play like they did in the second half for a whole game. Their defense pitched a second half shutout and scored themselves, lb picked up either a fumble or a tipped int and took it to the house. Could not see his number but big props to him. The offense got it rolling in the second half as well. Defense had a de out and had to move some players around but they figured it out. They moved their nt to de and he played absolute lock down containment, Which is what was hurting them in the first half. I would like to see Conners yards in the second half compared to the first half. Rice has to stay at Mike, they tried him at de and the linebackers were not the same. When they moved him back and 68 to de they pitched the shut out.Those two boys are studs on D. Dixies qb had another giant run this week and scored a long touchdown, he is one of the best running qbs I have seen in high school football. He can cut on a dime and leave defenders jocks on the ground. He had some good throws as well but the wrs had some big drops this week. Hopefully the wr core can clean that up. I think they will. 33 the rb runs hard and is hard to tackle. He had another good game. The offensive line looked good this week and are coming together. Big props to the boys up front! Dixie also blocked a punt and scored, I think it was rice that recovered it and scored. They have a big challenge coming to their house next week and I think they are up for it! Hats off to coach Burke and his staff, they are doing a wonderful job with this team. His team has the mentality that they are never out of any game! This dixie team is tough!!

Cooper running back can't believe I forgot to put him in my breakdown. Number 2 was a beast all night. He can read his blocks very well and when he gets to the second level he turns it on. Very shifty and finds daylight. Cooper has a gem!

Once dixie puts 4 quarters together watch out!! Everyone talking about what they lost last year, but these boys are good. They had a chance to win all the way to the end of the game!! Defense was on the field for a very long time in the first half. I think that led to the first couple tds. But the second half the offense came alive. Dixies qb is gonna be a stud!! Can throw it and run it. Absolute dual threat back there. He made a 70 yard run and cooper looked like they were on skates! One of the best football plays i have every seen! They have a couple nice running backs, 33 is nice and runs the ball hard, he had the game winner last week. When you think he is tackled he gains another 5 yards. I think the receivers number is 3, he looked great. Starting to get on page with the qb. He is tall and athletic. Made some very nice catches. On defense they have a very athletic nt number 68 that made some great tackles that you don't see the usual nt make. He demands a double team, and is able to keep the linebackers clean. You don't see alot of 3-4 defenses in high school but with him they can play it. Rice rushes the qb violently and is a tackling machine. He also played a wildcat qb and scored a td, and made some big first down runs.The defense had big problems with screen passes tonight, but they have a great coaching staff and I'm sure they will clean that up. I know number 10 was hurt and they could of used him tonight. He is a player. Sorry I don't know the players names. Cooper is a good team, they have a stud at de, his number is 4 his name might be Alexander. He is tall and gets at it, he was hard to block all night long. He had a huge stop early in the 4th quarter on a 4th down. I feel it might of been the play that won the game. Cooper got the ball on dixies 38 and they drove down and scored. They have two receivers that will go up and get it. They had some very big catches tonight in traffic. The qb 18 has a good arm and is mobile enough to make some throws on the run. They have a very big offense line and you can tell they like to hit and move people. They are going to have a good year. Hats off to Dixie and Cooper, they played to the last play and it was a fun game to watch!!!

If the Dixie offense can generate at least to tds I like dixie. The dixie defense was impressive in week one. Their d line is just nasty. Rice at middle linebacker stays clean almost every play and can rush the qb like no other. Their defense is going to cause problems this year. If the offense catches on dixie could be a sleeper. As far as Cooper that first game was unexpected and they came out flat. Curious if they will play to their potential this week. We will see. Dixie 14 -10 in a close one.

I believe he is ready, he has been getting these kids ready for 6a for awhile now. He will also put some good coaches around him. The man is dedicated, and the kids in this program love him, he will get the very best out of them. Yes it is a 6a school, but they are putting out numbers of a 4a school. This is the first year they had enough kids to have a freshman team, in quite awhile. He will help with the numbers issue because the parents trust this man with their kids, and the kids want to play for him. He is a former player for dixie, and he bleeds red and grey. No one in the program can say anything but good things about this coach.

I believe he is involved in the school district in some manner. More than likely Turkeyfoot.

I can see some of your points, but this man will bring more kids out to play at a "6a" school. He is a natural leader and the kids will follow him. Many kids were ran off by the last coach. The kids at Dixie want him as their coach, he has been coaching for quite awhile now, can't give you an exact number but it's been years. He is loved in the Dixie program, and he will put in the work, and dedication needed to make Dixie a great program. Varsity, jv, and freshman.

Even Bill Belichick had to start somewhere. So just because it's a middle school championship. It's more than Brossart had. He knows the program, the kids, and the parents. He is a favorite. You act like he is about to take the reigns at a championship factory. He is a good coach, and will put the work in to make it a good program.

They have a great coach right down the street at Turkeyfoot. Dave Sebowski, he is a former player of Dixie's, and won a championship in 18, with the group of the upcoming seniors. He has already coached a lot of the kids in that program, and the kids love him. He would be a favorite I would think. He is a hell of a football coach and he would run that program like a well oiled machine. If Dixie is smart that's who they should go with.
