When you have to play the entire game that happens? Seems like this game was way closer than it should be?

LCA certainly needs to be #1. Beechwood’s schedule is very light and they are giving up a ton of points to not great teams.

Onside kick made sense. Early in the game and CC didn't have a player within 20 yards of the ball. The way the game ended up going the rest of the half, the Birds needed it. CC jumped offsides 3 times while HHS was attempting to kick extra points. In a 10 point game with a big line and big QB, you take those extra points. Throwing late in the game didn't make sense to me.

Any idea why coach Weinrich wouldn't shake hands with the staff after the game? I know the history but the staff members had nothing to do with how he ended his coaching career at Highlands.

This is a shocker. All we heard in the pre season is how good the Cooper roster is. Ryle vs. highlands is the place to be next week!

Last Saturday it was a rotation between the two Frosh QBs. I don't believe Litmer played. Not sure how they will handle it this Saturday having JV then Frosh games back to back.

Anderson won by 1 point. I believe it was 20-19. Birds were a little sloppy on offense. 2 Fumbles by the QBs that were recovered for TDs. Overall, good reps for a lot of young players.

Depending on the night, 3-4 players may start both ways but many more than that will play. Many on the line. Last week was an 8-9 man rotation on Dline and 6 or so man rotation on Oline with many of them playing both sides. Sounds pretty similar.

Was told today that it is nearly a guaranteed sellout. Early online sales are very strong. If you plan to go, I would not wait to purchase tickets at the gate.

Not sure which order they should go in after week 1 but looking at the schedules for the top 3, it seems like LCA will be much more battle tested for the playoffs.

CCH vs. HHS Frosh game this week has been moved from Wednesday to Saturday after the JV game due to the heat. JV game has been moved up to 9am. Games are in Park Hills.

Has there ever been a player in KY that has had the football triple double? Double digit TDs in passing , receiving and rushing ?

When the game was originally setup by coach Sphire and coach Bathiany, the idea was to have the game on the opening Saturday of the season and have Jr High games, a frosh game then the Varsity as the night cap. Cool idea. Unfortunately, when the actual scheduling occurred, the game was scheduled on Friday when school was back in session thus making the non Varsity games difficult to play.

Not really. Verax scrambles well but HHS does a ton of read option and designed QB runs now. Very different.

Hearing that QBs can't be touched/run tonight. That will impact the Highlands offense quite a bit. Will have a 7v7 feel to it. With that said, these teams meet in the regular season in 4 weeks so being more vanilla and working on other things makes sense.

Offense has so many weapons and can score in different ways. Lorenzen, Harris , Williams are a crew. On the D line you have the Benke twins on the edge and Haretuku in the middle allowing Lorenzen and Roderick to roam free at LB. This will be a real good Frosh team with many guys that play early at the varsity level.

What is the earliest Boyle and Cov Cath could meet in the playoffs ?

The information the teams have been given are that the Boys 1st round games will be on Monday 2/27 and Wednesday 3/1. Semifinals will be on Sunday 3/5 and the Championship game will be on Tuesday 3/7.
