Has there ever been a player in KY that has had the football triple double? Double digit TDs in passing , receiving and rushing ?

Benke with a huge game. That is an understatement to say the least. I'd imagine there are alot of players with the triple double though, especially in the smaller classes. Good opening win for the Birds.

I'd be surprised if there are "a lot" of players with a triple double.  It's almost a td a game receiving, running, and passing.  I wouldn't be surprised if there was a couple, or even none at all, but "a lot" would be very surprising.

For Highlands,

Like the 34pts.

Still think the play calling is a head scratcher at times.

Execute all extra pts.

The defense has to get a lot better. There may need to be some personnel changes.

Agree here. Seems like there are times where they deviate from what is working just for the sake of doing something different. It does't add up. I get variety is nice to have but if it ain't broke, don't fix it; especially in a very close game.

The receiving/passing would likely be an either/or situation. If a player is good enough to throw for a bunch of TD's, he's likely a full time qb, and thus not likely to catch that many. I guess one factor could be a position change at some point in the season.

Sorry about that I read it wrong. I read as one game not the season. I would be interested to see the names of anyone who pulled off that feat.

This doesn’t surprise me with Benke. I knew Highlands had a special player in him the first time I watched him play a while back. Benke is very impressive.

Is this the year for the Bluebirds?

My next door neighbor is a Highlands grad and he wanted to talk to me today about the Bluebirds.  The conversation went a lot of different directions but I told him I thought Cooper may win the district so there is that.
