Seems pretty accurate to me.

I didn’t say Highlands should have won. They just spotted the Colonels a drive when they scored their first touchdown. It was 4th and 15 mid field when some dingus pushed after tiger play. You can’t win a close game when you get 4 personal fouls in a quarter.

Bob has improved the team since he got the job. I still have faith. Highlands just got too emotional and committed dumb penalties. His job is not in trouble because of one loss to the arch rival. He beat them at their house last year, relax. He is moving the program in a positive direction. Take out the dumb penalties and the pick six and that game would have been a lot different.

Both teams too sound for a healthy vs healthy blowout.

I feel like o line is the first position that gets effected by extreme heat. Conditioning and hydration are going going to be tested for both teams. I’m guessing OLine depth will be a factor as well.

This is why I think Highlands wins. Their OLine is big, strong and has managed to push dudes around. Didn’t Cov Cath graduate a lot of linemen?

Who plays QB for JV?

Yeah that’s true. But one more thing I like about Benke getting some breaks from QB/ running the ball is it doesn’t wear him out as bad over the year.

For sure multiple QBs is usually a bad sign but this is kinda the opposite. You have a scrambling, quick QB coming in (way different than Benke) and then you ask your CB to cover Benke. It is also a lot more to prepare for as the defense of the other team and there isn’t much time to prepare.

It will be interesting to see a non divisional game Colonels vs Birds. They will inevitably be in the same class again someday. The next time they meet in the playoffs it will be all juiced up and a must see.

Good problem to have. Seems like they all could get looks at QB and another position. Really hard to play defense against multiple good QBs.

I kinda like mixing it up with Rio at QB and Benke playing WR. It’s effective. Benke running behind that OLine is their best thing on offense. Then you sling it to Class and Mateo every once in a while. Run it with Geisler once every four plays. But Benke running it like half the time. Rio gives him a break.

Cov Cath 35 Highlands 42 Highlands wins the battle of the lines. Leen has a big day. Benke has slightly better day. Birds get it done at home.

Isn’t Ryle’s QB a senior 3 year starter that can run? that's always a headache to deal with.

Scrimmage a team you play during the season?? I guess Highlands and Ryle used to play twice a year during regular season for some reason so I guess it makes sense.
