Anything can happen. When Newport is playing at their best they are a tough team. But they have some soul searching to do.

6 straight L’s for Newport. Time to look in Mirror and figure it out before Friday’s meeting with Covcath.

Newport is solid. They are young and hungry. Still have some work to do and people to prove wrong.

Looks great this week. Hopefully Newport can Continue with the good play.

Can my guys get some love. Watch out Northern KY is sleeping on Newport. Deshawn 27 points helped out by KeAndre Nelson’s 14. This team is playing well.

Odd that Newport is still 14th. But like I said. Do not count them out. They are playing well and they played solid with a Sick Deshawn White. They played well against Brossart without White in the second quarter. They play Boone and Holmes this week.

Newport is playing very well right now. Keep it up.

Do not sleep on Newport. They will make a run this year. Will they beat Covcath or Beechwood? Probably not. But they will Surprise a lot of people. White will be a problem from outside and just a solid player. Davis crashes the boards hard and is solid on the defense. KeAndre Nelson will be one of the best PG's in NKY. Ethan Snapp will be a great addition to the outside shooting. I think Newport is under ranked. Look forward to them proving a lot of people wrong.

Don’t underestimate Newport. They put together four solid quarters against Lloyd. If Newport can keep the ball moving and not make silly turnovers this game will be a lot closer then the first match up. Being realistic I can see a 30-14 Beechwood win.

Newport put four quarters together and played solid defense. Have no clue why Lloyd went away from their “Juggernaut” offensive.

Newport has what it takes to beat Lloyd. If they put in 4 quarters of work instead of three Newport wins. I feel Beechwood is going to be too much for either team.

Beechwood is going to make a run. If they get both sides of the ball working well they will be hard to beat.

Joe Hornback is the New Head Coach

Newport has hired a new head coach. Nick Lewis. He was has helped with the team for many years. I believe he works at Newport as well. He is a grad of Newport played football and baseball for Newport. All of his Kids went through Newport. Look forward to see what he can do.

Newport does, but that's because they are one way starters and want to play the other side of the ball.

The field is shaping up looking nice. I am sure Grady Brown has a hug smile on his face. Him and his late brother have pushed for this for many many years.

Wildcats are very young this year. But can they make a run? DaeShawn White will be the leader this year, with hopeful Kaleal Davis suiting up (Football D1 Scholarship). Davis is very aggressive on the boards. Sanders (Sophomore) will be someone to watch for. He plays hard. Nelson is a solid player to watch for as well. He plays physical and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Everything points to a Beechwood Win. I would love for Newport to come out on fire and push the Tigers to their limits. However, seeing what Newport did against NCC and Lloyd. I say game is close until the fourth quarter and the Tigers win by at least 3 TD's.

Should be a walk in the park. Newport by 2-3 touchdowns. Be a good week to get up big on HC and then rest your stars. But we will see.

You have to make adjustments at half time. We saw the exact same thing in both NCC and Lloyd games. The other team made adjustments. Big Newport guy here, I hope the team can figure it.
