I was surprised last week when 5 people picked Hart in the poll I’m shocked this week that one picked Butler he has to be a Glasgow hater because no way anyone who knows anything about football believes Butler can win. Run that clock in the first half Scotties by whatever the coach wants it to be.

So if the playoffs began tomorrow in the east assuming Lex Catholic takes care of Bardstown and Murray takes care of Union because in my eyes those are the only two that could change because Cal and Glasgow are winning their districts. Then it would be Lex Catholic at Cal and Glasgow at Murray. That would be interesting Murray’s offense versus Glasgow’s defense.

I’m going with Bell in a tight one.

I don’t believe Logan actually has a chance in this game. But I will be pulling for them. I don’t think it will be a running clock but similar to the FS game Logan will stick around early and PT eventually pulls away and wins by 3 or 4 scores.

I think Monroe wins a close one.

Well you know there comes a time if the other team is playing their least experienced players and only running the ball you might ought to get stops everyone gets so up in arms about how many points one team scores and truthfully do these kids really care I doubt any kid is going home at night and crying themselves to sleep because they got beat to bad. They are going to be doing teenager things after the game and really don’t care.

Well they will win the next 3 so it comes down to Franklin Co to see if they finish the regular season at .500. And then they will probably have to face MNH or Owensboro in the second round of the playoffs so I think there’s a realistic chance they could finish the season with a losing record. However I wouldn’t be shocked in they won state however for whatever reason I have a gut feeling they won’t. I think they will win the next 4 and finish 5-5 in the regular season win the first playoff game and then lose in the second one to finish 6-6. I have nothing against BG I wouldn’t mind if they won state I just don’t think they’ve been dependable this year and that is what my gut is telling me.

Well the problem is when they start the running clock it’s really not a football game anymore they don’t have a play clock and it’s just silly really. I’ve seen a last play be ran with like 3 minutes left in the game because they just don’t line up anymore and the refs just let the clock run out. I’m not a proponent of teams beating other teams to death but come on it’s still a football game. Coach’s can control the score if they want to want to by playing all younger players and in the play calling. The problem is a lot of coaches don’t have the integrity to do this anymore so the KHSAA put in the running clock rule. I just hate changing the basic rules of the game and yes I hate the kickoff and extra point rules in the NFL and yes I believe a touchback of all kinds should still come to the 20.

Look I know Beechwood is a lot better than Owen but how do you score 68 anymore with the running clock I’ve literally seen losing teams take water breaks on the sideline and run off 5 minutes of game clock. I just don’t know how you get it in.

I sure didn’t see it as being close one of the surprises of the night I would say.

Good win for the Scotties even though they did have two long touchdowns called back. It seems you can’t run outside anymore without a holding penalty. Hart is so hard to score a bunch of points against they are kind of their own running clock. And they are a great running team however they didn’t stop Glasgow all night. I think Glasgow is clearly the best team in the district and quite frankly it’s not even close. Hart should finish the season off strong and finish 2nd in the district and get to host a playoff game.

FS seems like they can score but they don’t really stop anyone. Oddly enough it seems like their best defensive game of the season was against Paducah.

It’s kind of amazing to me how far CC has fallen.

35-6 final Scotties win! Great win for Glasgow for what it’s worth Glasgow had 2 long touchdowns called back by penalty. Glasgow was just a much better team than this whole district really. Hart will probably finish 2nd unless something unforeseen happens and get to host a playoff game.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was close for a while but I think LC is pretty good and will be to much for CC.

A friend sent me a post that said one of their players passed in a car accident this morning. We all love football but when something like this happens it puts things in perspective.

At the beginning of the year you couldn’t made me believe Hancock had a chance in this game but 5 games in I not only think they have a chance I’m picking them to win 21~13.
