I have a question. If North Hardin is considered Louisville, are Central Hardin and Meade considered Louisville as well? Thanks.

Barren Co is new to the district and I don't know much about them. They put up some nice stats in their win last week. Has anyone seen them? If so, any chance they can compete with the Hardin schools and Meade? Thanks.

G Dennis is a HUGE loss. He was probably the most valuable player in Kentucky last year. There's a big drop off at QB for Male this year. I still feel like they win this one though.

Ballard has a lot of talent, especially in that junior class. I still love Male’s Defense and that will be the difference. Male 28 Ballard 7

Like I said, I've watched both scrimmages and the Greenwood game. FS is really good. This will easily be the best Meade Co team in years. Austin Oppel changes everything. Meade brings almost their whole team back including a couple talented 6-4 and 6-2 WR's. Richardson had 2 catches for 80 yards last year vs FS and Dozier caught 2 Td passes. They will be really tough to defend considering Meade has maybe the best RB in Kentucky in the back field. This being Meades 1st game I think definitely hurts them though.

Hes VERY talented. He was there his freshman year. He'd be a Jr this year.

Iroquois actually DID try to get out of the 1st 2 games of the season but the buyout was too large.

The QB who started vs Male in the playoff game is the starter this Friday.

Meade Co’s starting Quarterback LAST YEAR is hurt.

I honestly think Oppel is the best RB in Kentucky.

I believe I've seen more teams already this season through film than all the AP voters combined.

Goodwins' ability is WAY behind his size right now. He may grow into a great player but for now all of the hype is because of his size. I hope the kid gets to play this season.

Meade Co will be better at all 3 skill positions (QB, RB, WR). The question is who wins the battle up front? Look for Meade Co to put up more points than Greenwood did. I'll go with the Greenwave 38 Franklin Simpson 21.

I picked up a Cats Pause yearbook yesterday. The high school preview was sooooo bad. Jordan Watkins the Butler WR and UK commit wasn't mentioned in the Butler preview, players to watch, player of the year, NOTHING. That was enough for me to put it back in the rack.

Yeah. Franklin-Simpson has a couple nice RBs and their Line is good, as usual. I think Meade's gonna be able to move the ball though. Meade is gonna be tough to handle this year at the skill positions. The bad thing is that if FS loses, everyone will wonder what's wrong with them and the answer is nothing. I watched both scrimmages and the Greenwood game and I'm really impressed that there isn't much drop off from last year.

I coached Youth football for 10 years, at a very high level. My team would play in a normal league for the regular season once that was over we would play all 4 weekends in November, traveling to different states to play vs National competition. I attribute that to why my kids have a different edge to them now that they are in HS. They have played vs the best players in the country.

Make that 6 teams. Franklin-Simpson is still very good. Fern Creek is a tad over rated. They do have a REALLY good running back but Manual will handle them. Pleasure Ridge Park scored 50, has a REALLY good QB but I saw they got votes in the AP poll. I predict PRP finishes around .500 this season. Ballard is as talented as almost any team in KY but still not on Male's level. I say Male beats them by 2-3 tds. Central Hardin is REALLY good offensively. 6-5 Gavin George is a stud and QB Elmore is one of the better QBs around. Apollo got votes as well. I've seen them 3 times this season and they are no where near a top 10 team.

A team really know one is talking about is Meade Co. The Greenwave went 3-8 last season but lost by less than a score vs Franklin Simpson and Simon Kenton, and led N Hardin at the half. Last season The Greenwave were young and really had 0 Rbs. They relied on a couple 250 lb fullbacks to carry the load but just didnt have a game breaker. Well in 2019 that wont be the case. Austin Oppel, a JR transfer from New Albany Indiana will step in and bring his 1600 yards and 19 TD's to Brandenburg. Meade also has a pair of standout Wide receivers in 6-4 Mitchell Dozier (SR)and 6-2 JJ Richardson (JR). Meade's entire offensive line is back as well. Richardson, a 2-way player was named KPG sophomore all state at Corner. With all these tools at their disposal Meade has dumped the wing T (That they have ran for 30 yrs) and went to a spread offense. How good is Oppel? Chris Vaughn, trainer of multiple D-1 and NFL players predicted Oppel will run for 2,000 yards this season.

Desales had some real worries in their defensive backfield, dating back to last season. They will struggle vs the pass all season. The good thing for them is that they have one of the best defensive lines in KY. Because of that, they get the win. Also, its a homecoming game for Jordan Watkins of Butler who spent his 1st 2 seasons at Desales. Expect it to get HEATED between him and his former team.

Desales has one of the better D Lines in Ky, regardless of class. I knew that before giving up 300 yds to X. They have REALLY struggled finding consistency in the secondary. Look for Butler to have similar success thru the air. I still like Desales in that one though. Its also Ex Colt Jordan Watkins homecoming as he played his 1st 2 years at Desales. I guarantee both sides will be chippy.
