Out of the teams I've seen, Beechwood is the most athletic. On top of that, they are playing 2 Freshmen and an 8th grader. By Regionals, theoretically they should be even better. St. Henry is huge and will improve dramatically as their new faces keep getting reps. Notre Dame, like I said before, seems unbalanced in a 5-1. They've run a 6-2 since I've been following. After that, there's a drop. Ryle is limited this year on the pins. Their middles are awesome. Conner struggles w/ their block, but have a trump card in Patton if they ever focused setting her. 6-10 is a toss up in the 9th.

Things just got a whole lot more interestinger.

There is not a chance Brossart clocks St. Henry. I don't think they beat St. Henry. S

I REALLY like Boone's #1 and #3. If #1 played at Ryle or Cooper, you'd hear about him all of the time. #3 is built low to ground and, if you don't strap it up, he'll embarrass you in a 1-on-1 tackle. I like NewCath's chances at controlling the line of scrimmage. St. Henry did a great job at getting pressure all night and I don't see any reason NewCath can't match their output.

Same issues as the NewCath scrimmage?

Does this say Holmes is getting better or Ludlow has a lot of improvement to make?

Armstrong gets to beat up on some old teammates. Woodlawn's favorite athlete gets 4 passing and two rushing.

97 they beat Wyoming in the Champions bowl at Highlands. They also beat Purcell Marion who won the GCL Northb

Refs didn't cost anyone the game, but it was nice to see mountain home cooking is still a thing. I'd love to see the penalty stat line. Two personal fouls were extremely weak. They missed a potential targeting, there was a timeout, Paintsville's coach skips the teams huddle to talk to the side judge for the entirety. VERY next play... that Side Judge calls a very, very, very questionable late hit. It was comical.

Tigers had a VERY rough receiving day....thankfully. That score could have been worse. NewCath's passing game looked like it was starting to wake up in the second half. Cramps hurt both teams.

Beechwood just made a massive statement tonight. The athleticism of their front row is extremely impressive. I watched NDA, and I think they look unbalanced compared to years past. The 5-1 doesn't seem to fit them like it does St Henry or Beechwood. I think we see the Regional Final being a repeat of the 35th District Final this year.

Lloyd is going to run for 400 yards.

Paintsville appears to love to stay in a formation and no huddle. They want to use your adjustment against you. They ran the same Bubble Screen to #1 one possession on back to back plays out of the Empty, and then hit a home run on a QB draw. They did the same when they went 2 back in the second half. They want to spread you out, put their guys in space, and make you tackle. Everyone will need to get to the ball carrier/receiver Friday. #1, #4, #33, #2, #5 are all really shifty athletes with size. NewCath will have to stay disciplined. There are tendencies to their formations that the coaches, I'm sure have seen and will exploit, if I could see them. Paintsville's inexperience at line really hurts their ability to use the middle of the line to run. Hopefully the Breds can also use that to get into passing lanes w/ so many screens being thrown.

I think plenty of you neighbors make up for that when we are talking about average income levels.

NewCath got the game they needed. Lloyd made the plays. Both teams have a lot to iron out. I did like NewCath’s grit. They hit, they look disciplined on defense for the most part. The future is bright. Lloyd has players in the skill positions. I think they will be a dangerous team once Districts roll around. Defensively they were not really challenged today so that’s hard to judge against a more well rounded team.

They will for a few games.

Conditioning looks like it is going to be paramount.
