I don't think Glider was trying to be offensive in calling them the "Big 3." They do respectfully average 16, 17, 17. I doubt anyone else in the 9th has their 3rd best player averaging 16! The "Big 3" have been given more hype than any other trio in the area. However, we all know it is a team sport and it takes all 5 to gel in order to be successful!

It is pretty simple really - "any given Sunday" - except in this case - it is Monday. For MC to win, they have to play a perfect game and SC has to play a horrible game. Otherwise, SC is easily a better team by 15+ points IMO.

You clearly mention the larger court hurting Cooper. I think Coopers offense will actually be better on a larger court. They have more talent than Highlands and can spread out Highlands D to create opportunities.

I would love to see MC when this which they certainly can. However, I am going with SC by 15+.

I disagree that both teams are better. Cooper is actually playing worse in the last few weeks. However, I am still going with the Jags by single digits.

I didnt see Fredrick get in anybodys face. What I saw was him reacting to a BW players profanity towards a CCH player. He jumped up to point it out to the referees and got T'd. However, he should know, its usually the person who reacts who is seen by the refs and not the instigator.

I am not sure how 5 teams can have an advantage especially when 4 of them play each other in round one. Both teams in a game can't have the "advantage."

The Day 1 games look like they will be more competitive. I will take Oldham in the upset over Collins.

Who knows? Your scenario is likely but too many others are possible: CCH could lose to Newport... Cooper could lose to Highlands... Cooper could lose to CCH... CCH could lose to Beechwood ...

Looking fwd to the Connor vs Newport rematch. Newport won the the first game by 2. And while I am sure whoever wins may want SHHS, they were both playing without key players when they lost to CCH. That rematch could be interesting. CCH must be liking their draw! The only 2 teams in KY they have lost to are on the other side of the bracket.

Congrats to HC! Hicks is a character! I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall in that locker room! And BTW, I have also never heard "terrible look".

I think we should change Newport to Bearcats with their proximity to UC and the black, red and white uniforms; then switch Walton to Wildcats. ??

Dude, calm down! I never compared Fleek, Greene, Thelen, or anyone to Mayer. I think Mayer is awesome! Someone else was questioning Fleek's PT vs Mayers - not me! What I am saying is the coaches should have given Mayer shorter spurts of playing time because he was obviously gassed late in the game when they could have used him. It is only his 4th true game this year and he is getting better and better each outing! I am pretty sure last night was his first double double.

The answer is yes. Fleek has had multiple 20+ point performances, a few double doubles, and led the team in scoring multiple times, as has Greene. Coaches seem to have a short leash on them and some other players and yank them if they make one mistake - which I am sure gets into their head. Mayer played a great first half but coaches didn't notice when he was fatigued which was when he was a liability. I put that on them!
