Two loss Texas gets in & a three loss Texas should be in over Bama. I love it that ND said "Nah, we're good" when passing on a bowl game. If that's not a 'power move of Standing on Business' ( as I saw someone on their IG page say), then I don't know what is.

I get what you’re trying to say, but it doesn’t really apply here. Saying “the others should’ve done better” ignores the whole point of a best-teams playoff, not a most-convenient-records playoff. If Tulane and JMU have zero chance to win the national title — which they don’t — then putting them in over teams that actually could is the definition of “getting it wrong.” And, “this will change when it gets to 16 teams” doesn’t address the issue either. (Although it needed to happen to begin with starting last year) If the system is supposed to get the best teams, then the size of the bracket shouldn’t magically change who the best teams are.

They deserved to be. But ND, Vandy and TX getting left out due to JMU and Tulane getting in? Then Arkansas AD having the gaul to say & make himself believe that they are really after “finding the 12 best teams”?! Heaping pile of crap.

And offensively a trainwreck. I asked somebody this question earlier in the week in conversation: ”If you’re for OU being in. Don’t you think Auburn should be in?” Looked at me all crazy. Then I pointed out their scores, head to head (OU close win, like all of AU’s losses were). I said in the grand scheme of things, they aren't that much different. Then with how offensively challenged Alabama is? Especially running the ball? That’ll be two other pretenders in the first round. Sad part is…one of them will actually win.

Notre Dame is legit. Proved it last year, and this year, they are even better offensively- tough couple of teams to open up with on the road with a Freshman Q making his first starts & were still just 4 points away from winning both of those. The fact that ND, Vandy & Texas- two of those three- got left out due to JMU and Tulane is a joke beyond any comprehension (I don’t care what the “rules” of the set up are). Here is something JMU and Tulane don’t want to hear, if they could see the thoughts of their own HC’s head? They’d see that both of them are privately thinking “We finished our missions on Friday. I wish I could go get started on the next one. Yeah, it’s awesome we got a bid. But we don’t have a chance at winning this thing.”

I hope Oregon and Ole Miss absolutely boat race both of them (JMU & Tulane) These G5 schools getting seats at the table is a complete joke. Zero chance in ANY world that they have a shot at winning it all. None. Yet, they get TWO seats at the table.

And absolutely NO reason them or JMU should be in the tournament. ”We want the 12 best teams in the county represented”- Hunter U No you don’t. Bc neither of them have a remote chance to win the thing.

Just goes to show that somebody's "unimpressive", previous HC record at a place(s) that aren't good programs? Means nothing. The fact that they were able to have any success(es) at all? More than enough. Give them the keys to a good one and see what can happen. And, in this case? At a place that, while they've got titles under their belt- you know better than anybody...been a while. This year they do. Tulane? Had to win to have a chance at getting a seat. JMU had to win last night just to have a chance, Duke beats UVA? But then at the same token? Duke wins & the ACC might not even get a bid. TX Tech was in as is, BYU had to win to get in. Didn’t. Bama/UGA? Only chance Bama gets “penalized” for making to ATL? If they get ran out of the building (could happen. Lucky to be down just what they are). Certain scenarios play out and ND gets booted (I hope not, but understand if so)?! Either way- I’m much more of a fan of the day with my “minor league” (compared to your NASA space station ?) set up of games.

I don’t know. Not as many games, but Conference championship Saturday? The best playing the best? When it comes to the “regular” season (no bowls, official playoffs)? Tough to beat, G!

Good for SW. Regardless of outcome. Let them know they’re there & not just going to take it without a fight & maybe some extra curricular after plays. T wants and expects them to “know their role”.

Handful of teams (and, that’s a stretch in some), in every class. Everybody knows who they are before the season kicks off. And in the even there is a “newbie” (Union Co 3A last year, Murray 3A this year- although not surprising once they got away from Mayfield in 2A , South Warren this year just in terms of 6A)? They are matched up against a mainstay- favorite. Cold. Ticket prices. Best day of the college football season? …the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

As much as I’m pulling for Murray, despite there already uphill battle to begin with if their Q was healthy? You ABSOLUTELY should. Good for him.

Tune into Friends University (Kansas City) play in the NAIA Playoffs tomorrow. Undefeated. Their new HC, 3 years in. Took over a perineal doormat. '23? Better, but struggled. '24? Playoffs. This year? Watch out. Flexbone Harding University (D2 in Arkansas). '23 National Champs. Making another run this year like they have the last several. They play tonight or tomorrow? Same. Beauuuuuutiful.
