  1. Thanks for posting this. I forgot to post a new thread.
  2. Frankfort is playing solid defense and making their 3s.
  3. Frankfort leads Henry Clay 44-42 at halftime in Frankfort.
  4. Yep. Beechwood has twice the number of players that Frankfort has, making depth the key. As Hip-Hop Box mentioned earlier, "That why it's normally a close game til halftime, playing both ways is just tough against a team like Beechwood." Beechwood wears Frankfort down with sheer numbers. My hat is off to Beechwood; it seems as if they have the whole community involved, which is the way it should be!
  5. Depth is the key. Beechwood has a roster of 62; Frankfort a roster of 26. I wonder if Beechwood requires all male students that aren't in the band to play football?! Kidding!! I think?!
  6. The Panthers played hard right to the end. It is hard to beat anybody with 6 turnovers and to be in a position to tie or win the game with 3 minutes to go was amazing. Coach, is Holt okay? He wasn't the same quarterback after he was injured at the end of the first quarter, but he battled on! Clint on the radio broadcast after the game pointed out that in Frankfort's three losses, we had 18 turnovers. Ouch!
  7. Frankfort shot themselves in the foot several times in the first half, then reloaded and continued in the second. I lost track, but Frankfort lost at least 5 fumbles and threw at least 3 picks. Hard to win a game like that. One of the first half fumbles was at WH's goal line, one of the first interceptions was on a pass bobbled by a Panther WR on about WH's 15 yard line, WH player snatched it and ran it back for a touchdown. Hard to win with turnovers!
  8. Mercer has too many weapons on offense; Mercer 42-14. I am amazed at Jackson Lewis, their starting tailback/WR/return guy. He played football in junior high in Franklin County, but never played in high school until this, his senior year. Through 4 games, this 5' 7", 155 lb. football player is averaging 272 all-purpose yards per game, with 8 TDs, on a team with several outstanding offensive players. Amazing!
  9. I can't remember. The guy on the radio said it was two seniors and I saw Tommy being taken to the locker room. He didn't return to the game. Does anybody else know?
  10. One was #66, Tommy Jako, starting center and DT. He went out in the first half, I believe.
  11. On the radio after the game, the announcers said one of the players tore an MCL, the other tore his ACL. Hate to hear it as both are seniors...
  12. Great game! Anderson County controlled the line of scrimmage on offense and played smash mouth football in the second half to take control of the game. Big game by #5, Jackson Lewis of Mercer County. He had over 250 all purpose yards on, I believe, 16 touches.
  13. Coach, I missed the first two games, but it looks like Holt Hammons is moving the team at quarterback. If I did the math correctly (and I am a Frankfort High School graduate!), on the season he is 28 of 41 passing (68.2 % completion rate) for 420 yards with 5 TDs and NO interceptions. Who else is playing well for the Panthers?
  14. Several years back they lost the best running back I had ever seen at FHS in Quan Weaver; blew out his knee in the first game of his senior season. He was getting serious looks from UK, UL, WKU and others. Hated to see it happen to him.
