Final from Lawrenceburg.

Big win for Anderson. Mercer County has me perplexed.

Great game! Anderson County controlled the line of scrimmage on offense and played smash mouth football in the second half to take control of the game. Big game by #5, Jackson Lewis of Mercer County. He had over 250 all purpose yards on, I believe, 16 touches.

Anderson dominated up front on both sides of the ball all night. Anderson had no way to cover/defend Mercer's skill players they just couldn't get the ball in their hands enough. Until Mercer can prove they can compete upfront they need to get all the fullbacks and tight ends out and spread the defense with 4 receivers. Mercer tried too much of loading the box up on offense and trying to play smash mouth but aren't capable up front of doing that. QB was running for his life most of the night but has to see pressure and throw it away. He takes way too many sacks when he just needs to throw it away

Very surprising. Anderson is a hard place to go and win. Based on Titans' potential, I bet that can compete for a run in 4A. Won't matter if they don't improve. Anderson have any kind of shot to make noise? I didn't think so after Meade was rolled them.

Short week for Mercer playing on Thursday after playing on Saturday.

Gotta consider that.

Coach B would never use that as an excuse. Give that man 2 days in between games to prepare and he'd come up with a game plan to cover the fatigue. I hate to see Mercer on the losing end, but the season is young and they'll bounce back.

Not an excuse. A fact. I wouldn't pretend to speak for Coach B. Those are my words. Times are different. The human body needs time to recover.

Coach B. is my fav head coach in the state, so seeing him and his team fall short stinks, but on the other hand, I like Anderson County.Hopefully both can have good seasons.

Congrats on the big win.
