Male is another school that needs to beef up their schedule. They will never compete on a consistent basis for state championships without playing a tougher schedule.

At Saint X it has always been a balancing act between Athens and Sparta. Sometimes they lean toward Athens, and sometime they lean toward Sparta. I have seen it all before. Wait till the big donors dry up and demand a more competitive football program. It will once again swing towards the athletic side of things, and it will tighten up again.

I am sure it was not Saint X that cancelled. These public schools schedule then back out of playing the game. I heard manual’s numbers are way down this year.

I did indeed, and that old bird was tough. I just wish we would have shown a little improvement in the second game against Saint X.

I admire schools like Ryle, and Covington Catholic for upgrading their football schedule. The fans and the players love it. There are some schools in Jefferson county should do the same. Trinity lead the way in these upgraded games. A year or so ago, Trinity went back to the same old mundane schedule of the distant past. The fans, and parents had a fit. You can not get your fans used to steak, then go back to feeding them bologna.

It always is a worry to me when the 2 rivals meet (X vs Trinity) the sequel for all the marbles. The losing team in the regular season game, tends to prevail in the championship round. Or at the very least tighten things up considerably. One year a few years back, Saint X won by something like 42 to 6. Nobody gave Trinity a chance in the championship game. Trinity turned the tables and took another title beating Saint X in a close game.

Ths rocks, do you expect to see all the injured linemen now out with injuries to be back by the playoffs for Trinity ?

I would like to see some of our Kentucky schools play Indianapolis Roncalli. Some good match ups would be with any of our bigger private schools, such as Cov Catholic, or Trinity, or Saint Xavier, or DeSales.
