Who do you think wins and why?

CCH will have their hands full, and I am always a little unsure coming off a bye week. Eddie and the staff will have the boys ready to go as he always does. I think the Colonels win by 7-10 points.

I would like to see some of our Kentucky schools play Indianapolis Roncalli.

Some good match ups would be with any of our bigger private schools, such as Cov Catholic, or Trinity, or Saint Xavier, or DeSales.

Chatard is hard to get a read on by looking at scores. They lost to Cathedral 34-13 but beat Columbus St. Francis de Sales 42-7. CovCath--good talent, good coaching and a week to tweek the process=2/3 td win.

Chatard is coming off a 1 point loss to an undefeated, very solid Winton Woods.

 

This is going to be a hell of a test.

Looks like this is Chatard's second trip to the Bluegrass state in the program's history. In 2008, they beat LexCath in Lexington by a score of 31 - 7.

This should be one heck of a game. Winton Woods also knocked off LaSalle the week before.

If Chatard shows up to play they will be some top level competition for the Colonels. Show be a good game.

Bishop Chatard: First-year coach Rob Doyle takes over for Vince Lorenzano and looks to build on Chatard’s state-record 13 state championships. This will be a relatively inexperienced team, led by senior defensive lineman Will Kellison. Kevin McNelis and Nick Sullivan join him on the defensive front and Eric Osborn and Josh Coons return in the secondary. Junior Mark Nondorf takes over at quarterback. John Marsella, a senior receiver, and Daylen Taylor, a sophomore running back, are players to watch.

CovCath will have to bring their lunch box to work for arguably the first time this season and possibly the only time.

Here is last year's (2016) Bishop Chatard - Winton Woods football game played in Cincinnati. The Trojans beat the Warriors 23 - 20.

Covington Catholic's pool of talent is much greater than Chatard's. Look for a 21 point win by the Colonels.
