Raceland in the first half had 2 Redzone turnovers(one at the 3yd line) and another fumble in Paris territory. With 3 minutes to go in the 3rd Quarter Paris is up 9-0. Raceland scores a TD and the rest is history. Paris commits 3? 4th Quarter personal fouls out of frustration. That's why you schedule up. Raceland's "mediocre" offense puts 31 straight. All I heard all week was this "athletic vaunted offense" Paris that had two weeks to game plan and only mustered 9 points. I was called a "hater" for speaking the "truth". Paris was shell shocked, Maggard sacked 6 times, hurried 12. So even though Raceland lost those 4 games, it prepared them for everything Paris was going to throw at them.

It's a hard judgement call, and in place because that's a very easy play to go helmet to helmet, shoulder to helmet on an unsuspecting player. You can make the same block without the killshot involved.

Just saw the clip on WLEX Sportszone it's about 5:20 in. The refs made the right call, #9 led with his shoulder. Have no idea where the defenseless player issues comes as #9 ran into the play to pick #10 for Raceland off, the Raceland player was on the runner and not looking at #9. A couple years ago, I agree this is a clean play, but times have changed.

But as Paris fans have stated on here when you have 7-8 offensive weapons the holy Cross game shouldn't have made a difference. Did Maggard and Eric Johnson play that game? It's not like Paris runs a pass heavy offense, they average 120 passing yards a game. And anyone who uses the The Catspause rankings as a pre season marker, needs to revaluate what Literature they're reading.

True enough, yet I think Raceland was the better team that year, If I recall Fairview won that game on the last play of the game, was a big upset. I think that 2015 Paris was better than this years team. I think this year's Raceland team is better then the 2015 Fairview, Paris, and Raceland. But yet it goes to show you if Raceland overlooks Paris, then you'll get the Fairview result from '15.

What makes the Renfro kid a concern to Raceland? All that I can find is that he was an 8th grade All Star and is already a Junior. Looks like he has decent size though.

No, no they couldn't. Paintsville, Ashland, Somerset, Portsmouth West would work Paris. Are all very good teams, Paris is a decent team. Again no Paris fan can give me any examples that they deserve to be put in the upper Tier of 1A. It will be highly evident come Friday. It's not like Ashland, Paintsville, Somerset, and Portsmouth don't have game changing athletes.
